Ever wondered what a zine is?

A zine, 🗣pronounced zeen, is a self-created ✍, self-published 🖨, and self-distributed 📦 mini-magazine on any topic.
💞 Zines enable people to share ideas, stories, art, poetry, or even activism
✊ Zines are a great way to find community over a shared interest
🖍 Zines have very few rules (which, you’re encouraged to break) and have endless creative possibilities

Join the upcoming Fun with Folds: Zine Workshop and master the 6 core zine folding techniques 📃 and explore a variety of visualization methods 🖌️✂️✏️ that will help you unleash your creativity.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll create your very own zine “dummy” which you can photocopy🖨 and spam your local library with, trade with fellow zinesters 🔁, or sell at the next Zine Fest💰 in a culture house near you 📚

Everyone is welcome to join 🤗 - from the zine-novice to the zine-expert; from visual thinkers to word-smiths; and from the pro artists and designers to the crafty hobbyists!

⏳ The workshop starts at 17.00 and ends at 20.30, but you’re welcome to drop in, jump off, and stay for as long or as little as you’d like.

If you’re still not sure what a zine is - come through, and try your hands at something new - you might just find your next obsession 😻
