We have with joy welcomed Liselotte Klint for her residency here in August and September. As a base for the residency, she uses two previously made works to continue a research and play with ‘collapse’. Collapse personally, individually, collectively, psychologically, socially, and politically. More info will follow along the way with the residency.
She initiates her residency with installing these two previously made art works of hers, the video performance work ’collapse / collapsed ?’ (2020) and the sculpture ‘Substitute’ (2014). The two installed works are aimed to serve as the foundation for research and work for the rest of the residency period. This installation will be possible to see on Saturday the 19th of August at Money, where we open the door from 16-21. Invitation will follow and all are welcome!
The common denominator of Liselotte Klint’s practice is an interest in human behaviour, especially in relation to social and psychological dynamics. It’s a curiosity and interest in emotional states and the possible effected dysfunctional behavioural patterns that are based on unregulated emotions in our lives. Liselotte's works often take form of abstract gesticulation or movement that search to frame or capture a feeling, an emotional state, and capture relationships in these emotional states. For the moment she primarily works with performance, moving images, photo, and sculpture.
Klint is from Copenhagen, Denmark. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Science and a master’s degree in Communication and Cultural Studies, both from Roskilde University (DK). Currently she is studying on the MFA Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London (UK).
