Purity doesn't ask for permission to grow. Even in war.

Children in conflict zones refuse to let destruction steal their joy. They laugh in rubble. They play despite sirens. They bloom where the world expects only ashes.

The artwork 'GROWN FROM WAR' honors that resilience. The refusal to be erased, the insistence on life even when surrounded by death.

I created this when I realized innocence doesn't wait for permission to bloom.

'GROWN FROM WAR' came from watching footage of children playing around rubble. They're laughing. They're finding joy while surrounded by destruction. That resilience, that refusal to let war steal their humanity, is what this piece honors.

I made this back in the Spring of 2022. Today, it's more urgent than ever. Children in Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, Lebanon. But they're still finding ways to grow. To live. To smile.

We owe it to them to witness that. To amplify it. To never let their stories become noise, and to never let their smiles be unseen.

Surrounded by occupation, lost homes, pain, sorrow and difficult conditions - they still find a reason to smile. A pure smile.

These children are the purity grown from war. The inspiration for the artwork, we created.

Revisiting a piece I created back in the Spring of 2022, about purity growing from war-torn territories and countires.

This piece was inspired by the kids who have only ever known conflict, yet carry a light untouched by it. Even as everything collapses around them, they manage to create moments of beauty. They are proof that the human spirit can still blossom where it was never meant to survive.
