Dear all,
In light of the difficult situation we are facing as a society, the experiences given through art and music have changed. We're no longer able to gather in groups and the work foundation of artists, producers, and organizers has, as in many other fields, changed drastically.
Flamencópolis is no exception. Therefore we've decided to postpone not only the next concert on April 4th but also the following on May 2nd indefinitely.
We believe that it takes a village to grow, to heal, and to prosper, but in this case it takes villages in isolation, and this collective but separate effort will get us through the crisis together.
We hope that you will have the opportunity/privilege to turn this quarantine into something good for the soul, spending quality time with yourself and maybe immediate family, meditation, and good music.
We still believe in the value of experiencing art and music, which is why the online Flamencópolis community will replace the physical one for now, and our curator and choreographer Phyllis Akinyi will post flamenco dance and music videos during the following weeks of quarantine.
Last but not least, we want to say thank you to everyone who came and supported our premiere night. The love you showed us was humbling, and we are looking forward to creating flamenco experiences with you again in the future ❤️
