New works by Amanda Betz

We are pleased to present two new works by Amanda Betz: Capillary and Surface Tension, both 2026.

Working with folded Kitakata paper and pigment, Betz creates surfaces that shift between image and object. The repeated folds build a subtle rhythm and depth, while colour changes with the light and the viewer’s position.

KUNSTAUKTION – 17. SEPTEMBER
KVINDER. KUNST. HANDLING.

Formation Gallery er sammen med Galleri Alice Folker, Galleri 2112 og Galleri Anne Aarsland gået sammen med en række kvindelige kunstnere om at donere værker til støtte for Women2Women.

Hvert galleri bidrager med værker af fem kvindelige kunstnere, og galleriernes andel af salget doneres ubeskåret. De indsamlede midler går til biler og nødhjælp til kvinder i Ukraine.

Fra Formation Gallery har følgende fem kunstnere generøst bidraget med et værk:

For midlerne finder Women2Women og KOLO Nordic egnede biler, fylder dem med efterspurgt nødhjælp og kører dem direkte til nøje udvalgte kvinder og organisationer, der arbejder tæt på fronten.

Auktionen byder desuden på værker fra de øvrige gallerier samt særligt udvalgte ukrainske kunstnere.

Auktionen finder sted i Ukraine House og ledes af Alexa Bruun Rasmussen.

DANIELA BERGSCHNEIDER | HOW IT STARTED

I first met Daniela Bergschneider a little over two years ago, during a research trip to Norway with Norwegian Crafts, who had invited me to spend a little over a week visiting artists and studios in Bergen and Trondheim.

Among the many inspiring encounters on that trip, one stayed particularly strongly with me.

We had the privilege of visiting Daniela in her studio, and I was immediately drawn to her very distinctive sculptural language. The combination of porcelain and textiles, the softness and precision, and the way her works seem to exist somewhere between body, organism and ornament felt completely her own. I remember leaving her studio thinking that I wanted to find the right context to bring these works to Copenhagen.

That opportunity came in 2025, when we presented Daniela’s work in Copenhagen for the first time at Enter Art Fair. The response was overwhelming, with almost all of her works finding new homes.

But something else also began at that fair.

I introduced Daniela to Nanna Riis Andersen and shared an idea I had been carrying with me: that despite their very different practices, there was something in their two artistic universes that could create a really interesting dialogue.

That conversation became the first seed of Skin, Shape, Shelter.

Now, a year later, the exhibition has taken shape at Formation Gallery. Seeing Daniela’s sculptural works suspended in the space and unfolding across the walls alongside Nanna’s paintings feels like the culmination of a conversation that started much earlier, in a studio in Norway thanks to Norwegian Crafts

NANNA RIIS ANDERSEN | SKIN, SHAPE, SHELTER

There is a sense of constant movement in Nanna Riis Andersen’s paintings. Forms expand, dissolve and reappear. Layers of translucent colour overlap and create spaces that feel at once bodily, organic and strangely cosmic.

Her paintings resist a fixed reading. Something might resemble an organ, a membrane, a landscape or a microscopic structure, only to shift again as the eye moves across the surface. The familiar and the unknown seem to coexist.

Working through layers of paint, washes, lines and recurring organic forms, Riis Andersen creates images that suggest inner landscapes rather than depicting them. Some works are dense and saturated, almost enclosing the viewer, while others open into luminous spiralling movements of pale yellow, green and violet.

Throughout Skin, Shape, Shelter, the body is present without ever being represented directly. Instead, it becomes a way of thinking about permeability, transformation and our relationship to the world around us.

Shown alongside Daniela Bergschneider’s sculptural works, the paintings enter into a beautiful dialogue between surface and volume, interior and exterior, softness and structure.

DANIELA BERGSCHNEIDER | SKIN, SHAPE, SHELTER

Soft, bodily and strangely alive, Daniela Bergschneider’s sculptures seem to exist somewhere between organism, ornament and imagined anatomy.

Her works are built from hand-formed porcelain elements, bound together and held by hand-dyed, translucent nylon. Two materials with very different qualities meet: the porcelain creating an inner structure, almost like a skeleton, while the nylon stretches around it like a skin.

This tension between strength and fragility is central to Bergschneider’s practice. Repetition allows individual elements to grow into larger, complex forms that fold, curl and extend into space. Some cling to the wall, while others descend from the ceiling, appearing almost to breathe or grow within the gallery.

There is something immediately tactile about the works. Their soft colours and intricate surfaces invite closeness, while their forms remain wonderfully ambiguous: botanical, bodily, marine, perhaps even otherworldly.

In Skin, Shape, Shelter, Bergschneider’s sculptures inhabit the space alongside paintings by Nanna Riis Andersen, creating an exhibition shaped by transformation, materiality and the porous boundaries between body and surroundings.

Last day at Enter Art Fair!

It has been an intense and wonderful few days at Lokomotivværkstedet, and we’re excited for one final day at the fair.

Johanne Rude Lindegaard at Enter Art Fair 2026 💫

Formation Gallery is pleased to present new works by Johanne Rude Lindegaard at this year’s Enter Art Fair.

Rude Lindegaard’s paintings operate in the unstable territory between reality and illusion. Her practice draws on art-historical ideas ranging from Renaissance representation to the Baroque fascination with overwhelming, seductive illusion, while returning again and again to larger existential questions about our place within nature and the universe.

Tides, currents and forces of attraction are recurring images in her work. In the paintings, layers of acrylic and bone glue create hazy, fluid surfaces where landscape appears to shift before the eye — reflecting her interest in how everything around us continually pulls, pushes, attracts and repels.

And there is more: alongside the works in our booth, Johanne will present a large-scale, spectacular site-specific work created especially for the Sculpture Garden at Enter Art Fair.
