Galleri Anti

Galleri Anti Galleri Anti is a democratic association offering alternative pop-up exhibitions in Copenhagen. Each exhibition takes place in a new location.

Galleri Anti is an alternative to the established art scene in Copenhagen. The (anti) gallery is accessible through the creation of a space with a diverse array of impressions. In this space of participation, art as a stationary object and movement through performances, music, sociality and dance is combined and of equal standing. The exhibition events seek to create a safe and brave space, where

you are equally safe and free to express yourself without requirements of artistic, creative or intellectual qualifications. Galleri Anti showcases local as well as global upcoming artists, and offers them a chance to exhibit in reinvented city spaces and venues. Galleri Anti seeks to showcase a wide array of different arts, and to equalize any artistic hierarchies by presenting them on the same level, in the same space, at the same event. Galleri Anti wants to create an exhibition space where the audience is just as much a part of the experience as the artists and artworks are. Everyone participating is contributing to making the exhibition a reality, and everyone has an equal degree of ownership to the space. Galleri Anti therefore regards the audience as much as actors as the artists.

Dear all,

After long consideration we have decided to end Galleri Anti.

We have made this decision to free up time and mental space for ourselves to continue with other projects, as well as let Galleri Anti and our events remain as a positive memory.

We want to thank you all for participating, contributing and bringing joy to our events! We are proud of what we have accomplished and the reception we have gotten throughout the years, and you will be truly missed!

However, Galleri Anti will live on in our memories and as experience in our future projects.

Big love and warm hugs,
Galleri Anti Team
