Circular Atelier just joined the map 🪡

Today, with over 1300 repaired or transformed items, one at the time, the Atelier is officially part of global movement: people, projects and organizations repairing, transforming and giving new life to clothes instead of throwing them away.

Fashion can be set by the people. Everyone can make their own style from what they already have, and the website offer info and videotutorials about how to do so.

We, understood as I together with you, should be very proud of what we have done so far for our planet. 🌍

Yesterday I have got this lovely pic from our colorful Anna with her super tropical 🌴

The skirt was a dress that she loved and used a lot, and at this point, the fabric was worn in the top part, so we transformed it in a skirt, reusing also the cute button of the neck line to decorate the belt area✨️

Another piece saved, happy that Anna can still enjoy her garment 🌸

This month I had the pleasure to alter - for the first time - a dress for one of the few special days in life 💍

Maiya found this cute vintage dress that was too big for her size in the back bodice and shoulders, so we fitted to her size and also shortened it for a fresher look.

Lovely detail are the back buttons, she will look stunning !

June will be the last month before summer holidays where the activities will also take a break.

Often, during the last lesson of the 4‑week course, there is some extra time for a small additional project, and I usually teach the group how to make out of leftover fabric.

♻️ The courses at the Atelier also aim to raise awareness and encourage participants to use second‑hand materials for their projects.

🌊 Here we see Johann, director of the FEE, reusing a 2017 Blue Flag to create something through upcycling.

🌍 Every year, FEE commits to developing upcycling projects with flags that are no longer in use and to gradually transitioning to producing flags made from natural materials.

A very international group of people which reflect exactly what the City of Copenhagen is today. 🙍‍♀️🙍🙎🏿‍♀️🙎🏼‍♂️

📅 The wednesday course in May and June are full, but still have some spot for the One time workshop on the 12.05 and 19.05.

You have gained some weight but you do not want to give up on your favourite dress? 👗

💡A solution is to change the way it is closing!

In the case of this dress the zipper has been replaced with a corset-style lace-up closure, which give also a.nice detail to the dress itself.

Good morning people ! Today I would like to share one of the last project made 💕

These comfortable trousers - with a strong ethnic flavour - were custom-made for a regular customer of mine, using two silk and Indian cotton . ✨️🤩

The waistband features an elastic at the back and matching drawstrings to tight them on the waist.

📍Techical detail 👀 :
The trousers were sewn using a French seam to preserve the edges of the silk fabric, which fray easily, and prolong its life.
