PHONO: Roomer (DE) + Yvonnes
_______________________________________
Roomer:
Berlin-based trio Roomer weave noise, melody, and memory into expansive guitar-driven songs. Formed by long-time friends and collaborators Ronja Schößler, Ludwig Wandinger, and Luka Aron, the band brings together distinct voices from across Europe’s avant-garde, folk, and electronic scenes, folding these lineages into a sound that moves between shoegaze density, diaristic songwriting, and sonic exploration. Their music often holds opposites in suspension: clarity and blur, structure and drift, intimacy and collapse.
_______
Yvonnes:
Yvonnes is an alt-pop band from Copenhagen. Dusty ’90s aesthetics meet contemporary impulses, with nods to Mazzy Star and Beach House. Yvonnes’ sound is a blend of riffs and intricate guitar-bass patterns, gently framed by live-played drum loops and the captivating voice of Nicoline Hasselbalch.Through their short, delicate, and melancholic songs, Yvonnes captures the city’s apathy and the restlessness of life in your late twenties.

Improvisation, alternative techniques and an open and experimenting approach to sounds takes centre stage when Dream Big Fish, Joe Harvey-Whyte and Halfdan Magnus Stefansson joins us at PHONO. Presented together with our friends in Movement Shaped Like a Heart

PHONO & Movement Shaped Like a Heart: Dream Big Fish (DE) + Joe Harvey Whyte (UK) + Halfdan Magnus Stefansson

Doors: 19:00, Concert: 20:00

Movement Shaped Like a Heart: Dream Big Fish (DE), Joe Harvey-Whyte (UK) & Halfdan Magnus Stefansson
_______________________________________

Dream Big Fish:
Dream Big Fish is an international group of improvisers from Berlin and New York. Challenging themselves to find expression, beauty and meaning in the intimate setting of the trio, this band creates a sound somewhere in between free improvisation and conceptual composition.
Intertwined grooves, rhythmic cells and powerful melodies create a sonic world that is unique and profund, showcasing the groups creativity and willingness to always leave their comfort zone.
_______

Joe Harvey-Whyte:
Joe Harvey-Whyte's time bending solo work combines the sound of the pedal steel and regular guitar with electronics and field recordings to make moving instrumental pieces that create a space for deep listening & reflection.
Aside from his own releases Joe is also a highly in-demand session player working with the likes of Aldous Harding, James Vincent Mcmorrow, Nilüfer Yanya, Liam Gallagher and John Squire, Billy Bragg and many more.
_______

Halfdan Magnus Stefansson:
Halfdan Magnus Stefansson is active on the underground scenes in Denmark, in a long line of bands placed differently on the spectrum of alternative music.
Only on rare occasions is he performing solo, but with two concerts in June and July in his own name, he is intending to sum up his work with the electric guitar, in a format to let them stand by themselves.

For the concert, he will be preparing new works for the guitar.

The q***r vegan sh*tpunks, Joe & The S**tboys, formed with the intention of calling out sh*tty behaviour in the conservative Faroe Islands, where the rock scene is filled with boneless homophobes and meat-eating misogynists - and continue to take their aim at general vibe killers everywhere.

PHONO: Joe and the S**tboys (FO)
Date: 02/12-2026
Doors: 19:00, Concert: 20:00
Price: 160,-
PHONO: Joe and the S**tboys (FO)
_______________________________________

Joe and the S**tboys:
The live shows are full of energy, with a barrage of songs often under a minute long, like “Save The Planet You Dumb S**t”, “Life Is Great You Suck” and “If You Believe in Eating Meat Start With Your Dog”, being broken up by the flamboyant frontman roasting the audience relentlessly.

The band (Joe, Ziggy S**t, Johnny S**t and Ollie S**t) have played every type of venue there is; roof tops, public toilets, opening ceremonies for North Atlantic sub sea tunnels, museums and skateparks, and have also appeared on their fair share of major festival line ups around Europe and North America.

For those seeking further justification for hardcore vibes, promise more new music, more raucous live shows and more polite advice on how to live your life in 2026.

Local collaborative effort I Owe You will join Ida Duelund on the 18th of June! I Owe You try to connect to the epicentre of emotions through collaboration and spontaneity

I Owe You:
‘I Owe You’ is a collaborative songwriting project between me, Ludvig Elling and my circle of friends and fellow musicians. It is an attempt to establish an output for my songwriting that isn’t necessarily centered around a specific band, constellation or concept, but rather focuses on my own spontaneous preference for collaboration. I hope this spontaneous and elastic way of having a project will allow me to write and perform songs, that in a higher degree allows me to express and reflect the vision and emotions connected with the songs I write.
The concert at PHONO will be in collaboration with some great friends of mine.
________

Ida Duelund:
Bassist and composer, Ida Duelund has in recent years managed to move freely across an array of communities and generations both in the alternative and established Copenhagen music scene. She debuted as a solo artist last year with the surrealist album, Sibo, for which she received two Danish Grammys.

Her songs and compositions are characterised by a complete dedication to playfulness and interplay between the musicians and a careless disregard for genres and trends. She moves effortlessly, almost ruthlessly through musical history as if mixing a bag of fantastical lollies.

Horse Lords’ music feels both impossibly detailed and eminently human. The output is layered, interwoven, tonally and rhythmically complex – moiré-like patterns of interaction and tessellation that play out for both mind and body, full of sonic warrens with an inescapable groove.

_______________________________________

Horse Lords:
Horse Lords were founded in Baltimore in 2010; they evolved from the experimental collective Teeth Mountain and began as a trio with drummer Sam Haberman, guitarist Owen Gardner, and bassist Max Eilbacher, soon adding alto saxophonist Andrew Bernstein to the core ensemble. Though Horse Lords grew out of the fertile Baltimore noise and leftfield rock scene, a storied environment for artists and weirdos that has nurtured many an influential outsider band (Lungfish, Matmos), their approach is more omnivorous than the stippled rhythms of instrumental electric rock would indicate.
Across sixteen years of frequent touring, Horse Lords have released ten studio, live, and collaboration albums in addition to a split EP with fellow Baltimoreans Lower Dens, a handful of singles and compilation tracks. For RVNG’s FRKWYS series, the band collaborated with Berlin-based composer Arnold Dreyblatt, a onetime student of La Monte Young and Pauline Oliveros whose just intonation chamber music was a crucial part of the post-Fluxus Downtown New York City environment.
With the relocation of three of the four members to Germany beginning in 2021, the potential for more further creative exploration, and performance opportunities including the Moers Festival (with an 11-piece lineup, interpreting Julius Eastman’s music as well as their own), the interdisciplinary phases of the band’s music was poised for fascinating new directions. The band observes “We are always trying to balance working within the limitations of the quartet and pushing beyond them.”

Join us at PHONO when we’ve invited some of the defining voices in the lo-fi music scene of Gothenburg. Blending DIY-ethos with experimental compositions both JJULIUS and Blod has garnered a sizable following throughout the years!

PHONO: Jjulius (SE) + Blod (SE)
Date: 27/08-2026
Doors: 19:00, Concert: 20:00
Price: 120,-
PHONO: JJULIUS (SE) + Blod (SE)
_______________________________________

Jjulius:
JJULIUS is originally the solo project of Gothenburg-based musician and producer Julius Pierstorff, a distinctive voice in Sweden’s contemporary underground music scene. Blending post-punk, DIY pop, lo-fi experimentation, and alternative dance influences, JJULIUS creates music that feels both deeply personal and unpredictably inventive. His work combines melodic immediacy with surreal storytelling, drawing inspiration from artists such as Arthur Russell, The Fall, and the broader post-punk tradition while maintaining a singular artistic identity.
In recent years the project has evolved from being mostly a solo endeavour to include a full band both live and in the studio. As a live act the full band pushes the songs to their limit, giving them a noisy rock’n’roll edge.
_______

Blod:
Blod is the musical project of Gothenburg-based artist Gustaf Dicksson, whose work bridges Swedish folk traditions, experimental composition, ambient music, and lo-fi recording practices. Since 2014, Blod has developed a distinctive body of work that transforms everyday life, cultural memory, and spiritual reflection into deeply personal sound worlds.

Drawing equally from devotional music, tape collage, folk song, and contemporary experimentation, Dicksson creates music that is both intimate and expansive. Through a prolific catalog of releases, Blod has become a singular presence in Sweden’s underground music scene, crafting timeless and emotionally resonant works that resist easy categorization.

On this tour Blod will perform solo with various classics from his extensive catalogue

When Kindsight and Ninna Lundberg visit PHONO it will be with their intense and enticing stage presence. Bringing heartfelt melodies that ensnares and captivates the audience!

PHONO: Kindsight + Ninna Lundberg
Date: 15/10-2026
Doors: 19:00, Concert: 20:00
Price: 140 DKK
PHONO: Kindsight + Ninna Lundberg
_______________________________________

Kindsight:
Kindsight is an indie rock band from Denmark with a steadily growing international presence. Through live shows across Europe and appearances at major international festivals, including SXSW in Austin, Texas, the band has established itself on both the Danish and international live scenes.
Kindsight has released two albums to strong critical reception, most recently No Shame No Fame, which also received airplay and positive attention from the US radio station KEXP. The album draws on 90s indie rock and alternative guitar pop, with clear references to shoegaze and college rock, combined with repetitive, krautrock-inspired structures. The sound moves fluidly between dense, noisy guitar layers and more direct, melodic songs.
_______

Ninna Lundberg:
In Ninna Lundberg’s music, the presence is felt in every single track. Hand-crafted arrangements blend folk, pop and orchestral elements, with strings gliding lightly over pulsating drums and coalescing into tight themes. Ballads with a folk-song quality unfold slowly over pumping acoustic guitars, whilst Lundberg sings with a presence that draws you closer and closer with every line.

The lyrics are stripped-back and contemplative, navigating the tension between the personal and the universal. They unfold as inner monologues, where doubt, shame, sorrow and fragility stand side by side with moments of redemption and great joy.

In May 2026, released the song “Har du besøg” – the first single from what will be her first solo album in Danish. An album that revolves around a break-up, a new love and everything that arises in the space between them.

Todd Day Wait:
is one of the last real American Workhorse, pedal to the metal, Troubadours by way of Missouri, to California, to New Orleans and now Nashville. The original material of Todd Day Wait, is highly influenced by early American folk, country and blues music from the 1920’s through the 1960’s, embodying the spirit and authenticity of traditional American music. Todd Day Wait, whomst you may have heard of from his millions of spins on GemsOnVHS or Western AF writes and performs his own style of timeless country music.

Harking back to Jimmie Rodgers, Willie Nelson, Wynn Stewart and Kris Kristofferson he keeps the spirit of country music alive. In 2009 he put all his earthly belongings on the curb and hit the road, in his diesel shuttle bus fueled by vegetable oil, for a never ending tour. From busking the streets of New Orleans, to playing in the shadow of European castles, to lighting up the honky-tonk dance floors in Nashville, Todd keeps it 60/50.
