AAVF 2026 proudly presents:
Koret SORA (DK) and Kristoffer Fynbo Thorning (DK)
SORA is an award-winning women’s choir from Aarhus, Denmark, led by conductor Birgitte Næslund Madsen. Known for its precision, strong unity, and expressive performances, SORA blends Nordic folk traditions with contemporary choral art, creating innovative and moving interpretations that connect deeply with audiences both in Denmark and abroad.
KRISTOFFER FYNBO THORNING is a professional singer, dedicated educator and technology-driven creator.
Internationally, Kristoffer is recognised for his work with E-Cappella (electronic a ca****la), his innovative use of live music technology, and his songwriting in the electronic vocal group Postyr. He has more than 20 years of experience leading and coaching choirs and vocal groups at both amateur and professional levels, and he is widely known for integrating performance practice with playful icebreakers and group-building methods.
He has toured and taught throughout Europe, Asia and the United States, is the co-author of the books ‘Icebreakers’, ‘Breaking the Ice’ and ‘Warming Up’, and wise-chairman at AAVF.
Kristoffer thrives on new creative collaborations and works at the intersection of electronic music, classical choral traditions, sound and video installations, and large-scale concert productions involving vocal artists from diverse cultures.
SORA and Kristoffer will perform together as a part of the Saturday concert at AAVF2026: "A Vocal Journey". We are so looking forward to this collaboration!
