I understand that when hearing about discomfort in our everyday lives due to people protesting for causes we might not fully understand or for issues that seem far in the future, sometimes we´d like to tune out and forget all about it. But that has to stop.

Extinction Rebellion brought thousands of people to the streets of London, blocking roads, taking bridges, and making their demands clear. No more UK investments in fossil fuels was one of their demands.

Angus Rose has been on hunger strike for almost a month outside the U.K. Parliament to demand that the government organize a public climate briefing led by the U.K.'s Chief Scientific Adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance.

We want to share this inspiring and dramatic story, hoping to raise some awareness about his fight. We must echo his petition and that the U.K. parliament attend to this proportional and rational idea.

A hunger strike is mainly used by those with no other form of protest to bring attention to a particular case or cause. This is the case of Angus, on his 30th day of hunger strike in front of the UK parliament.
