Has anyone ever asked you about how you feel at night? 🌙

We are curious to know what motivates and what frustrates you about the night-time culture of Aarhus. Your thoughts, opinion and experiences will help us identify key challenges and opportunities to idea alternative ways of going out after dark.

Exciting news 📣

Erasmus+ has granted us funding for 2026-2027, along with Hyper Island, Hafnar.haus and Studenterhus Aarhus to develop the Night-Time Boost project 🌙

The root dates back to 2024, when we prototyped Night-Life Boost in partnership with Fermaten, and with support from Herning Kommune. Already in 2025, we tried to expand into new cities, adding Slagteriet.dk to our local consortium, which inspired the internationalization of the project 🚀

We see that night-time is where most of our free time takes place in the Nordics, and for many, that is the moment where we try to feel connected to local communities and to grow as people beyond our day-time roles.

The Nordic region is paradoxically lagging in knowledge, networks, strategies, and common action around night-time innovation opportunities and challenges, despite being one of the darkest regions in Europe 🌒

Soon, we will share more resources and opportunities to collaborate with as many people, groups and organizations keeping life lively after dark 🌱

One of our co-creation tracks just started in the Crowd-Competent project!

In support of the Nordic Nights Network, developed in collaboration with actors in Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Norway, we hosted our first crowd-thinking activities ✨

We used a cozy setting to bring the crowd together: a dinner to explore how the night-time of Aarhus can become safer, wider and more inspiring 💎

Night-time is where most of our free-time takes place in the Nordics. Both for locals and, particularly, for expats it can be very challenging to go out, discover and connect with others 🌓

This topic has gained relevance in other parts of Europe in the last 10 years, and we are excited to see how magnetic it is for young people and crowds to come together and tap into powerful gaps and opportunities. Towards May, we will continue hosting co-creation sessions with other crowds, towards a large-scale activity at SPOT festival ⚡

Happy New Year from all the C-Cube team ✨

2025 has been a year of turbo-growth for us, which makes us feel very grateful, and also be a bit oblivious about updating our page 😛

We hope to carry on working with inspiring people, groups and organizations, and to learn how to be a better NGO project after project 🌱

Soon, we will also share exciting news we got right before the holiday period 🎉

The Crowd-Competent project is moving on strongly 🙌

Our teams from Denmark and The Netherlands met up in Copenhagen with Marion Poetz, Henry Sauermann and Aleksandra Berditchevskaia to present our work so far, and start designing the blueprint of our training program 🤓

These guys are experts in mobilizing crowds to do amazing work - you can check out Nesta's "Collective Intelligence Design Playbook" and Marion' and Henry's "How and When to involve crowds in scientific research" for free online ✅

Thanks you to our colleagues from Involved and Center for Hybrid Intelligence for keeping this process exciting, and to the Pioneer Center for Artificial Intelligence for hosting us 🤝

Sometimes, a workshop is SO good that you forget to take any pictures altogether. Or better even: your colleague takes a quick snap, but right away feels like any documentation could ruin the magic flow of the moment 🧘‍♀️

And that is what happened last week when we met with SPOT festival's staff, gathered by it's director, Rikke Andersen. We loved introducing our project Crowd-Competent, we loved their energy and curiosity, and we are loving looking into all the insights we produced together, to figure out how can different crowds help SPOT grow 🌱

Along with our partners from Involved and Center for Hybrid Intelligence (, we had the first of two exploratory sessions, where we learnt what challenges and opportunities could motivate young people to mobilize crowds, and innovate together 🙌

We don't say this as often as we should, but we are grateful to Erasmus+ for sponsoring this project 🌄

Slow & deep updates 🤿

For the last 7 months, we have been working on the Crowd-Competent project, along with Involved and Center for Hybrid Intelligence in Denmark, and our partners in Sweden and The Netherlands ✨

After doing intensive research with experts and practitioners of applied Collective Intelligence, we finally had a chance of doing our first in-person activity at Halmstad University along with students from two exciting innovative in-house projects: a solar-fueled racing car and a water quality control drone 🤖

It was a relief to learn that they want to involve more Crowds across their creative cycles! We also learnt a lot about their own concept of what Crowd-Thinking is, what they would need in a training program to become more Crowd-Competent, and how it already relates with some familiar experiences, such as hackhatons.

Our next steps is to gather again with the experts, share the lessons we got from our research and this first activity, so we get ready to launch our web soon and to start working with SPOT festival in Denmark to advance the design of our training program for 2026 🎉

Along with our partners Center for Hybrid Intelligence and Involved we are hosting the first edition of The Involvers Club - a thoughtful, laid-back, cake-fueled event for anyone working with participation and involvement in their work ✨

In our day-to-day, we work a lot to find ways to create more plurality: a mental, cognitive and emotional openness (and expectation) to look at problems, challenges and opportunities with many others, and not alone from the top or the sideline.

If this resonates with you, drop us an email at [email protected], and we'll make sure to send you a calendar invite. We meet on October 2nd at Kaløgade 7 🙌
