“In a time where images can be endlessly edited, I consciously work against the culture of perfection.” -
For Pernille Greve, the artistic process is just as meaningful as the final image. Her works emerge through physical presence, repetition, and experimental printmaking techniques, where traces of imperfection become essential elements rather than flaws.
In her series Release, Pernille Greve works with the cyanotype process. An old photographic technique where large negatives are exposed in sunlight and developed in water. The result is a collection of raw, rustic, and tactile works that carry a strong sense of material presence.
Through this analogue process, Pernille Greve creates images that resist the polished perfection of the digital age. Instead, her works invite us into something more vulnerable, sensory, and authentic.
