“In a time where images can be endlessly edited, I consciously work against the culture of perfection.” -

For Pernille Greve, the artistic process is just as meaningful as the final image. Her works emerge through physical presence, repetition, and experimental printmaking techniques, where traces of imperfection become essential elements rather than flaws.

In her series Release, Pernille Greve works with the cyanotype process. An old photographic technique where large negatives are exposed in sunlight and developed in water. The result is a collection of raw, rustic, and tactile works that carry a strong sense of material presence.

Through this analogue process, Pernille Greve creates images that resist the polished perfection of the digital age. Instead, her works invite us into something more vulnerable, sensory, and authentic.

Artist of the Week —

This week, we are pleased to present Pernille Greve as our Artist of the Week at moe.gallery.

Pernille Greve is a Danish photographer and visual artist whose intuitive practice explores presence, energy, and perception. Educated in graphic design and advertising photography at the Copenhagen School of Photography, she has worked with visual communication for more than two decades, developing a strong sensitivity to both aesthetic clarity and emotional depth.

Her work moves beyond simply capturing a moment. Instead, Greve’s images reflect a state of being — a quiet intensity where vulnerability and strength exist side by side. Through her photographs and artworks, she invites us to look closer at the hidden layers of inner life and the ways we perceive ourselves and the world around us.

Follow along this week as we share more about Pernille Greve and her work!

New in moe.gallery —

We are excited to welcome something a little different to moe.gallery!

Kaspar is a 23-year-old Danish-Irish musician and musicology student. Growing up in a family of musicians, he has been singing and playing music from a very young age. At 17, he began recording and producing his own music, and has since pursued music in many forms — through production, live performances, bands, artistic collaborations, choir conducting, and education.

His new EP Indfald is shaped by reflections on life: deeply felt thoughts and emotions, as well as spontaneous and sudden insights. Kaspar describes his sound as “punk rap in a smoke-filled jazz club” — as if Jeff Buckley and Pind did the vocals for a Kendrick record.

For Kaspar, music is the artistic medium that speaks most deeply to him on a spiritual and emotional level. It is a way of navigating and articulating thoughts and feelings, but also a language — and therefore a social activity.

Through his music, Kaspar explores the feeling of standing still in a world that is constantly moving: apathy, pressure, identity, inequality, consumer culture, and fixed roles. But within this, he also points toward something shared — a way of breaking out of individualism, anxiety, and loneliness together.

Indfald is now available in the gallery.
Come by, listen, and take it home!

There is something about our Artist of the Week, works that asks to be experienced up close.

The quiet textures, layered surfaces, and subtle material traces unfold differently in the gallery space, where the works can be seen in their full presence. What may seem restrained at first begins to open through detail, depth, and the physical quality of the surface.

Come by the gallery and experience Jonas Sckerl’s works for yourself!

Tomorrow, Saturday, we will have bubbles ready for you from 11–15, making it the perfect excuse to stop by, take a closer look, and enjoy the works in person.

We look forward to welcoming you at moe.gallery.

What if art could make you feel something you didn’t know was there?

In this reel, our Artist of the Week, , reflects on one of the most important aspects of art: Its ability to speak to us.

For Jonas, art can open up emotions we might not normally put into words — or even notice we had. His abstract works invite a slower way of looking, where textures, surfaces, and subtle traces create space for inner reflection.

Rooted in intuition, material presence, and everyday fragments, Jonas’ practice is not about guiding the viewer toward one fixed meaning. Instead, his works remain open — allowing meaning to be discovered somewhere between the physical surface and the viewer’s own response.

Listen to Jonas share more about his practice in the reel, and discover his works at moe.gallery.

Meet the team behind moe.gallery!

Behind every exhibition, event, artist collaboration, and gallery visit, there is a small team working to create a welcoming space for contemporary art in the heart of Aarhus.

At moe.gallery, you will meet NC, the founder and owner of the gallery, together with Simone and Mathilde, who help bring the gallery’s visual identity, communication, events, and everyday atmosphere to life.

Together, we work to make moe.gallery a place where art feels present, personal, and accessible. A space where artists can unfold their practice, and visitors can discover new works, conversations, and perspectives.

Come by and say hello next time you are in the area. We would love to welcome you inside the gallery!

Artist of the Week —

“The strength of the dandelion
The ability to break through small cracks
This is where it all begins.”

In Kandborg’s work, painting becomes a process of emergence — where something fragile and intuitive slowly takes shape through layers, textures, and repeated gestures.

Her practice moves between abstraction and figuration, allowing emotion and atmosphere to surface rather than be defined. Each work carries traces of a process where materials are built up, broken down, and reworked — much like the quiet strength described in her words.

There is a sense of tension and softness coexisting — where the delicate meets the raw, and where meaning is not fixed, but felt.

Artist of the Week —

Beyond the canvas, Trine Kandborg’s practice is shaped by a deep trust in intuition and a lifelong curiosity for materials and making.

Working from her studio in Vejle, her approach is grounded in experimentation — a process of building, removing, and responding, where each step informs the next. Rather than following a fixed plan, Trine Kandborg allows the work to unfold through a continuous exchange between control and letting go.
With a background in decorative arts and floristry, and later shaped through mentorship with artist Bente Bressendorf, her artistic journey reflects a strong connection between craft and creative freedom.

For Trine Kandborg, painting is not about reaching a predefined result, but about staying open to what emerges along the way.

Follow along this week as we continue to explore her practice!
