We celebrate female voices through classical and contemporary creations — blending music, dance, and visual art into emotional journeys. Female Inspiration is an association based in Aarhus (DK) whose purpose is to support female figures in the world of the arts, with a main focus on classical-contemporary music inspired from or written by women. The project arises from the world of music, althoug
h it is also related to other performing arts such as dance, drama or the audiovisual world. The aesthetic principle behind each performance is always related to a journey of emotions, where the listener participates in an art experience far away from the traditional idea. Since its founding in 2018, Female Inspiration has developed a series of theme performances, where the common thread is a thought or a concept that everyone in the audience can relate to. A recent report published by the Danish Composers Society shows that only 5% of the music performed in Denmark is written by women. Fighting this misconception and creating a magical experience is Female Inspiration’s mission.
