Thanks, Daniela Giorgino Simonsen, for writing this very interesting article about our performance LYDEN AF RUINERNE, presented at turkis in November 2025.
You can find it in the March issue of the Italian-Danish magazine Il Ponte - Din bro mellem Danmark og Italien. We feel it truly captures the essence of the performance 🫶

We take this opportunity to once again thank everyone who supported the project Aarhus Kommune, Dansk Komponistforening, Dansk Artist Forbund, Accademia di Danimarca - Det Danske Institut i Rom, and those who worked with us to make it: HumanLab, Tomàs Acosta, Elsa Mencagli Andersen, Mads Mygind, Halibut Film, and Matteo Quarta, Lingue nordiche Sapienza 🙏

A line by the poet Friedrich Hölderlin says, “Poetically, humans dwell upon this earth,” and it seems to recall another line from a poem by Rebecca Elson: “Don’t let the doctors take the poetry out of your body.”
During this week of residency at Havmøllen , we have tried to remind ourselves that, poetically, we live on this earth and that poetry is an integral part of our being. We must take care of it.
Last night, we shared the first result of this poetic immersion with a lovely group of people. Together, we walked through the night between the woods and the sea, listening to the sounds of nature.
Then, we played some songs for them that came to life thanks to the poems of Rebecca Elson, a Canadian astrophysicist and poet who left this world far too soon.
Her line, “Don’t let the doctors take the poetry out of your body,” resonates as a warning. Do not forget poetry, especially now, as the world seems to be drifting toward oblivion.

Making music with the landscape around residency - a stone throw from the sea and completely immersed in wind and weather!🌦

Saturday 28th March at 19:30 we open a window to our compositional process inspired by the poems of Rebecca Elson and the sounds of the nature around here. All are welcome❤️

We welcomed 2026 in Athens.
Our research on funeral laments, and Orphic rituals found fertile ground here.
We spent the final days of the year gathering images and inspirations that this ancient land preserves both above and beneath its soil. This is exactly what our artistic research project “Underworld” called for.

The path of this project still stretches far beyond the horizon. Where will it lead us?

Our deepest thanks to The Danish Institute at Athens for offering us this residency, and to Dansk Musiker Forbund - DMF for supporting our journey.

Some shots from last night’s concert at Teresa Ariosto and Barth Smets place.

We’re happy that our little concert “When the moon rises, even fish fall in love” keeps traveling, meeting new people coming from different corners of the world.

Thank you to everyone who decided to join us and warm up on a cold evening.

Yes, winter is long, and once again, like migrating birds, in a few days we’ll be heading to Greece, to Athens, for a residency at the Danish Institute at Athens, to begin new research for an upcoming theatre/music project.

We’ll keep you posted.

Begrænsede pladser - billetter kan bookes her: https://www.turkislive.com/koncerter/lyden-af-ruiner
