I have chosen to donate a guitar to the 1st place winner at the Aalborg Guitar Festival because I would like to support the next generation of talented guitarists and
help promote interest in the
classical Spanish guitar.

In the years that I have participated in the festival, 1st place has been won by some extremely talented musicians. Therefore, it is a great honor for me to be able to present one of my guitars to the winner of this
year's competition.

For me, a hand-built guitar is more than just an instrument - it is a tool for musical development and personal expression. Therefore, I am pleased to be
able to contribute with an instrument that can hopefully inspire the winner to continue their musical journey and develop their playing even further.

At the same time, it is a way to give something back to the guitar community and support initiatives that create new opportunities for young musicians and keep the guitar tradition alive.

The guitar I am sponsoring the festival with will be a concert guitar built with sides and back in African padauk and a spruce top.

African padouk has a beautiful red color and a tone very similar to rosewood, making it an excellent and more sustainable alternative.

I build traditional classical guitars that stand on the shoulders of the great guitar builders of Granada. In my work I place particular emphasis on good projection and an even balance across the entire fingerboard, so
that the guitar appears both powerful, nuanced and easy to shape musically.

Registration for the 5th Aalborg International Composer Competition is open.
Aalborg Guitar Festival and Competitions invites entries for the Composers' Competition for the six-stringed classical guitar. The competition has been arranged in collaboration with Acoustic Music Books.
One of the aims of the competition is to promote new work and enlarge the classical guitar repertoire. The intention is that the composer will meet the guitarist, and the guitarist will meet the audience.
