(English version below)
I januar besøgte KulturKraft: Nords direktør Andreas Bellaiche Mathew en række førende miljøer i Australien – blandt andet The University of Melbourne, The Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne og Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
💬 Prioritering
🤝 Samarbejde og international inspiration
💡 Og modet til at tænke sundhed bredere.

What can Denmark learn from countries like Australia when it comes to connecting culture and health?🌍
In January, KulturKraft:Nord’s director, Andreas Mathew, visited several leading environments in Australia – including the University of Melbourne, The Royal Children’s Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
For many years, these institutions have actively worked to integrate art, music and creative practices as part of the healthcare system. Not as an add-on, but as a natural part of the system.
The visit was part of the international HEART network, where researchers, artists and healthcare professionals work together to develop the field.
Reflecting on the visit, Andreas Mathew says:
"It was fantastic to experience such strong collaboration and exchange of knowledge at an international level within HEART. A pleasure to be part of this team and to exchange ideas, inspire and develop together – with the different experiences that each member brings to the table. This is arts, culture and health innovation that will leave a lasting impact."
The work aims to strengthen the connection between culture and health – also in Denmark.
As Stine Lindahl Jacobsen, leader of NOCKS – North Denmark Center for Culture and Health at Aalborg University, puts it:
"We are working strategically to strengthen the professional foundation of the field, challenge and develop the ideologies that shape it, while ensuring sustainable solutions that can be implemented in practice."
For KulturKraft:Nord, the ambition is to bring culture and health closer together for the benefit of people. This requires:
💬 Prioritisation
🤝 Collaboration and international inspiration
💡 And the courage to think about health more broadly.
