Meet Berlin-based visual artist Anna Mészáros (≋A≋N≋N≋A≋). Working across sculpture, installation, image-based processes, and textual research, her practice engages with how places, relationships, and language link together.

Anna Mészáros’s upcoming exhibition from here on out, from here on in [Copy-Shop Ballade] creates a field of tension between divergent contexts, inviting us to rethink the spaces surrounding us.

Since 1998, Volkswagen Group has proudly supported Junge Kunst in presenting emerging contemporary artists and strengthening Wolfsburg as a vibrant city for art.

The KOSMOS Festival is back, bringing music, art, culture, and people together in Chemnitz. ✨

The weekend opens on August 28 with the KOSMOS R***E at Stadthalle Chemnitz, a new format kicking off this year’s festival weekend.

The main festival day follows on August 29 with 250 programme highlights, new venues, and new collaborations across the city.

What if we could turn viruses against themselves?

Join us for our next Science Talk at phaeno Wolfsburg featuring Dr. Maren Schubert (Helmholtz-Zentrum für Infektionsforschung / TU Braunschweig).

She will take us into the world of modern biotechnology.

As a Junior Research Group Leader at the Helmholtz-Zentrum für Infektionsforschung and lecturer at TU Braunschweig, she works on so-called virus-like particles. In her talk, „The Protein Puzzle: How we defeat infectious agents using their own building blocks,“ she’ll reveal how empty virus shells are paving the way for next-generation vaccines, medicines, and diagnostics.

What separates a dark fantasy from a real-world crime? 💭

At our next Volkswagen Group Art4All, criminal psychologist and author Dipl.-Psych. Lydia Benecke joins us at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg to dive into the science behind human behavior. In her 6 PM talk, „Between Dream and Nightmare – Why not every fantasy leads to action“, she examines the scientific perspective on where these thoughts end and reality begins.

You can also get creative: From 4:30 to 6:30 PM, our open studio invites everyone to participate and explore your own art.

Guided public tours through the exhibition „On Nervous Grounds“ are at 4:15, 5:15, and 7:15 PM.

Sound in the Garden returns this August to Berlin’s Neue Nationalgalerie – transforming the Sculpture Garden into an open-air space for immersive sound.

Experimental music, electronic sounds, and contemporary compositions: Experience live performances from August 12–16, starting at 6:30 pm.

Curated by Gregor, Volkswagen Group Curator at Neue Nationalgalerie, this year’s programme brings together Kali Malone, Gigi Masin & Marco Baldini, upsammy & Valentina Magaletti🥁🏳️‍🌈, sa., , Hildur Guðnadóttir, Sam Slater, Slauson Malone, Michael Rother, Alva Noto, Stephen O’Malley, works by Ryuichi Sakamoto, and more.

On Sunday, the Sculpture Garden becomes a space for special sound installations celebrating the work of Japanese artist Fujiko Nakaya.

Today, the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg officially launches a brand-new space and public offering: the .

Conceived by the museum as a welcoming „Third Place“, a free public space between home and work, the Open Area is designed to encourage everyone to gather, exchange ideas, and get creative.

To celebrate the opening, the collaborative workshop "On Nervous Grounds" will take place on Saturday (11 am – 2 pm). Co-conceptualized by artist Ariel Reichman and the soft systems collective (Daniele Lauriola and Luisa Bergander) as part of their current Volkswagen Group Fellowship at Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, the session explores how collective uncertainty and personal emotions manifest in our bodies.

Admission to the Open Area and all opening workshops is free.
