There is something so special about creating something with your own hands. 🤍

This handmade macramé phone wrist strap started as a few strands of recycled cotton cord… and slowly turned into something that will soon be part of someone’s everyday life.

Every knot is tied by hand.
Every color combination is chosen with intention.
Every package is wrapped with care.

People often see the finished product, but my favorite part will always be the journey from a spool of yarn to something beautiful and useful.

That’s why I love being a small business owner and fiber artist. It’s not just making products. It’s creating pieces that become gifts, little everyday companions, and tiny reminders that someone made them with real hands and a whole lot of heart.

I hope this little behind-the-scenes makes you appreciate handmade creations just a tiny bit more. 🫶

What’s something you’ve made recently that you’re really proud of? It doesn’t have to be perfect. I’d genuinely love to hear about it. 🤍

Apparently it’s tacky and desperate to ask people to like and follow… 👀

So anyway, here’s me turning a few meters of recycled cotton cord into a handmade macramé wristlet from start to finish. 😂

From finding the yarn tail, cutting cord, knotting for way longer than I planned, questioning my life choices halfway through, and finally ending up with a finished wrist strap.

This one is handmade using recycled cotton cord and can be used as a wristlet, keychain strap, camera strap, bag charm, or whatever your little heart desires. 🤍

Small business content, craft videos, handmade macramé accessories, cozy creating, and way too much time spent talking to yarn… that’s basically what you’ll find here.

So if you enjoy watching someone turn string into cute things…

well, you heard the audio. 😌✨

What’s your favorite part:
🧶 the knotting
✂️ the setup
✨ the finished result

Me: puts my logo on a shipping box

Also me immediately:

No because why does seeing my own logo on packaging make me feel like I just signed a major corporate deal when I’m literally sitting here turning cotton cord into handmade macramé keychains and packing Etsy orders in my craft room. 😭

The order isn’t even inside the box yet and I’m already emotional.

Running a small handmade business means celebrating the tiniest things:

✨ packing orders
✨ seeing your logo on packaging
✨ writing thank you cards
✨ creating handmade macramé gifts
✨ watching an order leave for its new home

Every single order still makes me ridiculously happy.

And yes, the baby giggle sound is 100% accurate. 🤍

POV: you’re a perfectly innocent piece of cotton cord and suddenly I pick you out of the spool. 🧶💀

My yarn:
“omg omg omg where are we going?”

Me:
“bestie you’re becoming a handmade macramé keychain.”

My yarn:
“I HAVE A PURPOSE.” ✨

Meanwhile I’m over here turning recycled cotton cord into macramé keychains, wristlets, camera straps, phone charms and whatever other cute handmade accessories my brain comes up with at 11pm. 😭

Being a small business owner is basically just:
☁️ talking to yarn
☁️ filming everything for content
☁️ spending 20 minutes finding the yarn tail
☁️ getting emotionally attached to colors
☁️ somehow ending up with another finished macramé project

If you’re into handmade products, cozy crafting videos, small business content, fiber art, macramé tutorials, keychains, wristlets and watching random people turn string into cute things…

welcome, you’re among friends. 🤍

Now tell me:

What do YOU think my yarn sounds like when it gets chosen for a project? 😂👇

Some days I don’t feel like posting.

Not because I don’t love what I do, but because running a handmade small business means switching between about 17 different jobs every day. 😅

One minute I’m knotting macramé keychains, phone lanyards and wristlets, the next I’m filming, editing videos, packing orders, answering messages and trying to convince Instagram that people might enjoy watching someone play with yarn all day.

But here we are. 🤍

A little behind-the-scenes moment from my craft room, where most of my weekends disappear into cotton cord, tea and new ideas.

And for once, I even included a quick appearance from the person behind Elbknoten. 👋

Did anyone actually catch it, or did you all immediately go back to looking at the yarn? 😂

Happy crafting, happy scrolling and I hope you’re having a lovely day wherever you’re reading this from. ✨

If you made it this far, tell me in the comments:

🧶 Did you notice the creator cameo?
or
🧶 Were you too busy watching the macramé?

And btw, for those asking. My nails are so amazing thanks to .nails 😎
