Kryptonite Radio Theater is a fresh and exciting theater project from Wiesbaden, Germany. We present a mix of old time radio shows, classic tales and spoofs of recent pop culture in a style reminiscent of the Golden Age of Radio. Our performances feature:

Kryptonite Radio Theater can take you anywhere, anytime and that at a more than decent ticket price - because we create the scenery in your head. And yes, that's not only good for our budget, but also provides you with a thrillingly novel concept of live theater. Would you like us to take you on a journey around the world? Want us to put a space opera on the stage? Piece of cake. How about an H.P. Lovecraft horror tale? Done that. A Western? Arabian Nights? No problem!!! Come on over and enjoy shows where sometimes the commercials are the main attraction and all rules of storytelling get regularly, repeatedly and routinely broken! Greetings, People With Friday and Saturday Evenings and No Good Reason to Waste Them!

This weekend, Kryptonite Radio Theater is asking a simple question: what if every blockbuster film had its own musical — and the musical was completely, stubbornly, unapologetically wrong for it?

Bond gets the anthem he didn't know he needed. Dune gets reggae because... the spice must flow, man. Jaws gets a bright Broadway soft-shoe... But we don't want to tell you too much and spoil the surprise...

Blockbuster - the Musical. Friday June 26 and Saturday June 27. Alfons Jung Saal, Wiesbaden. Everyone involved knows exactly what kind of show this is — and commits anyway.

Nobody asked for this. We did it anyway.

Five people. More opinions than that. And the moment each one makes their case for their favourite 80s/90s blockbuster, the stage becomes a full musical parody -- in that film's exact flavour 9more or less). Reggae. Spy anthems. Broadway soft-shoe. Stadium rock. You know the era. You remember which side you were on.

It is, in the best possible sense, a lot.

The Canterbury Quail has finished murdering around, and we're still picking mud out of our medieval costumes.

Two nights of pilgrims who absolutely did not commit murder (except, obviously, the one who did). Four suspects. Four impossible alibis. One Holy Quail (or not, depending on how you look at it). Live sound effects including explosions, denials, and the sustained shriek of someone who may have believed their own innocence a little too hard.

Here's what we know: You showed up. You laughed at the crime.
The cast did what the cast does best - committed completely to absurd premises while everything spiraled exactly as planned. The audience did what audiences do - you made the chaos worth it.

If you were there: we saw you laughing when the "alibi" collapsed, again. If you weren't: we'll make more. We won't remake this one. (At least not anytime soon.)
