The writer Navid Kermani describes Pi-hsien Chen’s concerts as a ‘transcendent experience’ and, in his novel *The Alphabet up to S*, recounts the 2017 concert series at the Kolumba Art Museum in Cologne, during which she performed works by Mendelssohn, Bach, Schubert, Schoenberg and Scarlatti each month in marvellous interpretations.
These five concerts will soon be available for the first time in 24-bit on digital platforms. The series of releases begins in September 2026 with Johann Sebastian Bach’s *The Art of Fugue*. The second album, featuring piano works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, will follow in October.
