Welcome to the 6th „Neue Sterne“ International Piano Competition!
The history of our contest is closely connected with many legendary names, such as Paul C. Pollei, Warren Thompson, Alexander Braginsky, Piotr Paleczny, Bernd Goetzke, Vincenzo Balzani, Lev Natochenny and many others who were our jury and, of course, our winners - Tamar Beraia, Florian Feilmeier, Alexander Yakovlev, Stephanie Proot, Konstantin Alekseev, Arseniy Sadykov, Dong-Wan Ha.
In recent years we have always tried to provide our participants with the best conditions, including, first and foremost, a very warm and friendly atmosphere, wonderful grand pianos and pretty concert halls, study rooms, complete repertory freedom, and performance with the chamber orchestra at the final stage.
Nevertheless, I am happy to announce that for our forthcoming competition we have made even greater progress.
Fortunately, our competition found a real home in the beautiful city of Wernigerode, where the mayor of the city – Mr. Peter Gaffert, Department of Culture, many generous sponsors, "Kreismusikschule", the orchestras of the region under the huge enthusiasm of Maestro Christian Fitzner, provide us with tremendous support in realizing our progress.
I believe that our contest will help young musicians to fully reveal their talent and the opportunity to gain invaluable artistic experience for their future career.
With Best Wishes,
Albert Mamriev
