We need to recharge the batteries and we'll be back when the leaves turn yellow, organge and red. See you soon!
We have a date! Come by and chill with us after work, and have a last look at the exhibition before summer pause.
Edit: because of our Óli being stuck in Island for some more days and some other personal circumstances, we will have to postpone the finissage. Updates will follow soon.
Hey there! We want to celebrate our most successful exhibition with you all. For this reason, we're organising a finissage the way we like it. And if you've ever been to one of our parties, you already know what we're talking about! Come get cosy on our terrace on Saturday 9th! Doors will open starting at 5 pm.

"Der Mythos is hin" (The myth is dead) is this year's theme of the artspring Berlin festival. Is it so? Or do myths still shape our reality? We won't answer these questions, we hope instead to inspire new ones.
Please consider that most of the images of the exhibition are s*x and body positive.
It's almost a year that Eymelt Sehmer aka Frau Augenschmelz took her mobile darkroom out into the woods for the collaboration with Paul Scraton on the book "Into the Pines". Time flies!
Spring 2022 is here!
Artspring Berlin is coming, soon!
And Galerie Arnarson & Sehmer will take part.

it's raining again in Berlin, and we are sitting in our studio room thinking back to last Saturday's book launch of Paul Scraton's latest novella In the Pines.
How wonderful to get to share this unique project with you and do it here with the help of Alexander Wells.
How heartwarming to see you again, walking around the gallery.
A special thanks to the friends of Curious Fox for turning our gallery into a book shop for one night.
And finally thanks to Aidan Bartley and the Blu Moon Collective for the beautiful music.
We couldn't have imagined a more splendid kick-off for our first exhibition after one year. A selection of the pictures that our Eymelt made for the book are now hanging in the big room. If you haven't made it to the reading, come and have a look at the photographs. You'll find us as usual on Saturdays from 2 PM to 6 PM.
You can purchase the book In the Pines via Influx Press or through your local bookshop. If you are not close to a bookshop or are being careful with shopping right now, Bookshop.org is a website where you can do both, order online and support a local or independent bookshop.
Galerie Arnarson & Sehmer updated their business hours.
If you want to get a feel for Paul Scraton's & Eymelt Sehmer's (alias Frau Augenschmelzl) book 'In the Pines',
Caught by the River published an extract titled ‘Ruinenlust’…
An extract from Paul Scraton‘s novella ‘In the Pines’ — the story of an unnamed narrator’s lifelong relationship with the forest and the mysteries it contains — with photos by Eymelt Sehmer. My mother, who enjoyed Rome far more than I ever did, used to say that ruins predict the future. ...

"Hinter dem Versenden eines "dick pics" steht oftmals Unsicherheit und der Wunsch nach Wertschätzung. Bei meinem P***s Projekt geht es mir nicht um willfährige Bestätigung, doch weiß ich aus meiner Erfahrung als Intimacy-Coach, wie heilsam nicht-s*xuelle, zustimmende Aufmerksamkeit auf den P***s sein kann."
Dear art community,
One year has passed since we opened our doors for the first time.
One year of nice events and exhibitions.
One year of good talks.
One year of exciting encounters.
One year of planning and constant learning.
One year is a reason to celebrate!
Given the circumstances, we cannot have a big party at the moment.
But we have plans and different things are in the making.
Meanwhile, you can at least blow out our first candle with us.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Celebratory hugs from yours truly Arnarson & Sehmer + Riccio.
