Watched a livestream with on YouTube the other day where he shared an easy and quick soda bread recipe (thank you!!). While writing down the ingredients I decided to sketch out the recipe and have some fun with it instead. And it works! Made a no frills loaf and will be making more, if I can get my hands on some flour...

The sketchbook I'm using is filled with all kinds of sketching and watercolour paper all put together. I made it myself and I've never filled this many pages in such a short amount of time!

Some more bees! Love the quinacridone gold by Winsor&Newton! Such a unique and colour. Prefer it even over the one from Daniel Smith.

I studied some cost and performance accounting and expense distribution calculation today, and found some time to add colour to the day.
Since seeing a photograph of a rainbow lobster, my fingers itched to use my Daniel Smith watercolours to put one on paper. Or in this case, Schmincke watercolour ground.

Spontaneous sketch of 'Lady with Hat and Feather Boa' 1909 by Gustav Klimt. It started with brush pen and got coloured in as an afterthought. The expression in the woman's face is very different from that in Klimt's, but I like it.
I look a little like that at the moment with my humongous scarf around my neck, recovering from a cold.
