A small collaboration with our friend Piece of Jade, made for her solo exhibition at Pon Ding, Taipei.
For this project, we extended the idea of INDERGARTEN into a home for the little birds she made, a structure somewhere between furniture, perch, and sculpture.
Built from simple vertical and horizontal wooden forms, the structure creates a quiet order of its own. Within its geometric stacking, small branches and pauses are left for the soft textile birds to rest, creating a simple dialogue between materials, textures, and forms.
We loved seeing how the wood and the birds slowly began to belong to each other.
