We are looking for four performers with experience in acting, dance and voice work,
aged 23 and above,
with multilingual skills (e.g. Turkish, Persian, Arabic, Swahili, Lingala, Japanese, English, French, Dutch)
for our interdisciplinary performance ‘Atlas - Interwoven Realities’.
You should live in or around Cologne, as we are unfortunately unable to pay travel and
accommodation expenses.
Deadline: 09.02.2026
The performance ‘Atlas – Interwoven Realities’ combines theatre, movement, music and fashion show into a sensually perceivable experience. As a collection of maps, Atlas stands for orientation and man-made boundaries; as a textile bond for a shiny fabric, the identity worn; mythologically for the burden of origin and responsibility; anatomically for the transition between thinking and acting.
Four performers with different stories encounter each other in a confined space and become ‘atlases’ themselves, carrying their worlds and making encounters tangible in the field of tension between closeness and distance.
The fashion show is central as a performative format. The costumes function as a narrative medium: dressing and un******ng become a process of transformation, identity becomes visible as a dynamic state. Textures, light, multilingualism and sound interweave to create spaces of resonance in which the audience is immersed.
Conceived by costume designer Camille Schwarz and realised in dialogue with director Loes Snijders (artistic director of Comoedia Mundi).
