Somewhere up there a cow is still judging me, a hay bale is still smiling, and the views are still doing things that shouldn’t be legal — all without me.

Norway, you ruined every other place. Thanks for that.

She packed a marshmallow stick for a beach surrounded by 500-metre cliffs.
Honestly, best decision of the whole trip.

Lofoten in grey is something else — the kind of place that makes you feel very small and completely fine with that.

No sun. No complaints.

Lofoten from above — and yeah, okay, this place isn’t fair.

That’s a football pitch built on an island in the middle of the Norwegian Sea. Imagine showing up for a Sunday game and this is your commute.

Some places are beautiful. Lofoten is just showing off.

Lofoten hasn’t been sunny once. And somehow that’s exactly right.

There’s something about grey skies and rain on a windshield that makes everything feel more honest. Less postcard, more real. Less perfect, more ours.
Wouldn’t change a thing.
