The Morphing Chamber Orchestra’s philosophy is based on constant evolution — metamorphoses and modifications that lead to the search for new musical interpretations and the pursuit of performance perfection.
Morphing Chamber Orchestra was founded in 2006 by music producer and violist Tomasz Wabnic who ist the artistic director of the ensemble.
Since 2006 Morphing Chamber Orchestra challenges itself with diverse projects of a wide range of repertoire from classical music to film music, jazz and contemporary music. The ensemble engages and collaborates with world-known artists such as Aleksandra Kurzak, Roberto Alagna, Bobby McFerrin or Andreas Scholl, Joseph Tawadros, Valeriy Sokolov, Frederic Chaslin and composers like Arvo Pärt, Krzysztof Penderecki.
The key aspiration of MCO is their approach to perfection in performance combined with flexibility and creativity of interpretation and repertoire. Outstanding young musicians, laureates of numerous international contests, have created a new quality in chamber music. Their life paths have crossed in Vienna’s music world where they came to master their skills. Each performance of Morphing Chamber Orchestra reflects their joy of creating music, performed at the highest, world-class level. The most recent endeavors include the release of the CD “Desire” for Sony Classical International together with Aleksandra Kurzak, appearances in Livestream-Concerts on TAKT1 and in the MET STARS concert series organized by the Metropolitan Opera - thanks to an invitation by Peter Gelb personally, and the production of the first CD to be released on the newly started Morphing Music Label.
