🌞 swipe to see full piece 🌞wheee! ✨ still experimenting with how to make my art look how I want it to, while also keeping the process fun for me - and I’m getting closer and closer!! 🥹 I’m soo happy with how this came out, even though it’s kinda messy haha

actually just wanted to quickly try and play around with a brush I made for myself the other day and then this “happened” as I was laying in bed, about to go to sleep…this piece already has a special place in my heart, because I felt so liberated, playful and intuitive in the process. 🌞

Maybe it helped that I barely spent time painting in the last few months? Idk (v probably!), and I feel like this piece was a big smol breakthrough in figuring out how to execute my vision of my art and now I’m feeling paintyyyy again! :D 🎉

I’m excited to see what happens next and share it with you cuties

yay hello, I finally actually painted something again 😄

✨🎈guuys! for anyone who has been asking - I am soon finally opening up my etsy and you will be able to order a custom animal or pet portrait in this style 🌼💜 (to start with^^)
it's a small big first step for me and I hope you guys will let me paint your cute pets, I want to see them all 😍🐿🐓🐍🦑🐈🐏🐕✨

..plus my iPad is dying quicker now and without it I'm ded, so every order helps me out a lot 💜

anywhoo, didn't really feel like painting these last few weeks, since I've been video editing, designing stuff and playing around with music (mostly jamming on the keys to my love playing another instrument, so fun 💜) etc. and all those things made me really happy creatively so I didn't feel like it - and didn't feel bad for not doing it, too, yay! ☺️

it felt surprisingly smooth to get back into it, this time, as well and I actually think this lil kittie is quite cute plus I had tons of fun while making it :D

I played around with the beloved tree-ring-pattern I like to include in most of my art so that I could combine it with this simpler, sketchier style without being too overwhelming, what do you think? (:

• lured • totally forgot to post this one - from the process reel the other day ☺️

I haven't been making much art lately. There's so many other things that keep me busy since we moved - and I really miss my routine of daily drawing.

But I can also hear a tiny, mean voice in my head that wants to creep in - the voice that tells me I'm not productive enough, that I'm losing time. The voice that wants to push me back into an unhealthy approach and mindest when creating art.
One that I worked so hard to unlearn.

So I'm fighting it - by going even slower. (whaa- ?😱)

It feels counterintuitive and I can feel the little voice panicking. But burning myself out never helped in the past, so why not try this instead? 😄

It feels weird, almost wrong - but it also feels empowering, healing and just right! ✨

So I'll take my time, stop stressing about it, because I know I will get there as long as I keep trying and working towards my dreams 😊

It doesn't matter how slow you go, as long as you keep moving!

What is something you think you could slow a bit down on? (: Or does the pressure of time tickle your tiny, mean voice menacingly?

Be soft to yourself, you deserve it 💖🌼

• hidden fruits • yay! happy to be back after the move into our yurt! 😊🎉

It's been forever since I made art and the other day the first piece in our new home was born (:
Just a loose, no-pressure quickie, I tried to focus on having fun with the colors and lines - what do you think? I kinda like these weird fruitbirdbabies! 😅

After this crazy month of moving, being sick, organising and adjusting to this huge lifestyle change (we've never lived in a yurt and this close to nature before, things still need to be built and improved, our herb and veggie garden have barely been started, and soon the planning for building the second yurt needs to start and more!), finally having fully working internet again is truly the cherry on top rn! :D 🎉

I'm so excited to get to continue my journey to become a full-time artist now and to be able to check on what my amazing art friends on here are up to again (the mobile network is crap here haha)!! 🎉🌿

What did I miss? How are you doing?? :3

I made these A6 mini originals for my coworkers and boss before I left the job as a thank you for the good time.

I tried to imagine what kind of animal each of them would be based on what I got to know of them during my time there...I don't know, I feel like it might not be too accurate but I still liked making these :D

I hope they enjoy them, I didn't get to see their reaction^^

haven't been drawing much lately since there's so much going on, but when I did, it mostly was birds...here's one of them (:

it's a mix of watercolors and digital and I liked the process, might play around with that more ☺️

tomorrow is my last day at my part time job before we move and I'm so excited :D
I got an A4 sketchbook (which is a format I haven't rly used since I was 15) for the occasion and will dedicate all friday to just having fun and celebrating new beginnings in it 💜

aah yes, a classic! Been feeling like this lately 🥴

I'm pretty introverted, so having to deal with customers all day long in an overstimulating environment just drains me so much, that when I come home and can finally do what I've been looking forward to and love sm - my brain just goes p**f! brain fart mode!

Some days are better, some are worse...the other day was one of the worse ones and I couldn't physically and mentally bring myself to draw anything, even though I REALLY wanted to and I'm a bit sad about it tbh! 🥺🥴

I mean, at least I pooped out this lil comic anyways, but it kinda felt more like an act of desperation and I'm also kind of ashamed of it 😅

It just feels crappy when you're out of brain juice and start to doubt your artistic ability but you know it's not you, it's the circumstances, but you're still scared it will stay like this forever!

BUT! It won't. (:

There are better days ahead and until then I'm just gonna share this comic I'm super not proud of - because these bleh days are normal, too!

It's normal to not always be able to bust out amazing, pretty, beautiful, meaningful, etc...art!

That's what makes the good days all the more goody good, after all!

And now that I think about it a bit later...in the end it actually felt quite good to just accept and express that yesterday was meh through this meh piece of art! (:

All we gotta do, is try again the next day, and the day after, and the day after the day after, and...😄

And then, suddenly, there will be a better day! 😊🌼💜

I guess this is slightly Elden Ring inspired, given my current obsession with it :D

on a lil personal note - I'm moving v soon, so things might probably stay a bit slow on here until around mid april but I'll keep working on my website and shop in between all the other things that have to be done!

Being an artist will be my only job again starting april and I'm so so thrilled and definitely hope to be able to finally let this grow into a true fulltime income then 🥺

I really can't wait to have time again to work on my plans without having to work another job and finally launch my shop, start my youtube channel and more!

Though I like my current part-time job, especially my colleagues, it just really takes a big toll on my mental health to be employed to someone - so I can't wait for this month to be over, tbh, even though it's scary!! 🥴☺️
..also spring is around the corner, days are getting longer and sunnier and there's finally hope in the air again...and that feels really good 🥲🌼

idk, doodling things to get my mind off of things and ending up doodling things that are on my mind 😅..but I think it's still helping a bit!

honestly, can't wait to make brighter art again, though - but I guess sometimes you just gotta express what your mind is working through to help it let go of it (:

I believe it's healthy and helpful to process what's in your mind that way, as long as we don't dwell on it for too long and sink into the void.

Here's to accepting the pains of life, feeling and listening to them, and then letting them go to remember all the tiny seeds of hope, that are still there 🌱🌸

honestly not much else to say today.
I'm sad, I'm devastated. It breaks my heart and soul to witness this horror. And this is definitely not the only horror going on in this world, which is even more...I don't know what to say or do.

Has been a pretty exhausting week, there will be exhausting weeks ahead, as my personal life is pretty stressful atm and now this on top just makes me feel like I am unable to function. And I think that's okay, for now.

If you feel the same - please know, that that's okay. You're not a failure or useless because of it. It will get better again. 💜

Still wanted to draw, but this was all I was able to do.
