Das ist ohne Frage eine sehr lohnenswerte Veranstaltung.

Mit der Vernissage am Sonntag, 10. Mai 2026 um 11 Uhr startet die erste Ausstellung im „Malkasten“ in der Dufkampstraße 16 mit Werken von Rolf Hinse.
Nach 20 Jahren in Italien lebt Rolf Hinse jetzt wieder in Stadtlohn und zeigt einige seiner Werke.

In this work, I depict myself dressed as a Dutch merchant from the Golden Age — a period of economic prosperity deeply intertwined with colonial expansion, exploitation, and global power structures. The wealth of that era was built not only on trade and innovation, but also on systems of oppression.
The stern gaze directed at the viewer intensifies the tension between historical role and contemporary awareness — between aesthetic fascination and a conscious critique of the colonial foundations upon which that prosperity was built.

Another painting created after the concert by Paula Paula.

In contrast to the previous work, this piece takes on a much darker tone. The music once again formed the starting point – cello, guitar, piano and vocals – but here the focus lies on the more intense, heavier moments of the concert. The result is a reduced, dark composition with strong contrasts and a concentrated use of color.
