250 years of independence. Generations of friendship. One celebration shared across Europe.

Over the last 250 years, the United States has built friendships, partnerships, and alliances that have stood the test of time.

This week, the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Band & Chorus had the honor of celebrating alongside many of those friends as our musicians performed across Europe in support of Independence Day and Freedom 250 events.

From Brussels to Leipzig, Athens, Munich, Belgrade, Paris, and beyond, our Soldiers used music to bring people together, celebrate the bonds we share, and honor the ideals that have connected America with our Allies and partners for generations.

As fireworks light up the sky this Fourth of July, we are proud to celebrate not only where our country has been, but the friendships that continue to carry us forward.

Freedom 250 is moving across Europe!

Over the past week, the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Band & Chorus supported missions in Romania, Germany, and North Macedonia — connecting with Allies, partners, embassy communities, service members, families, and host-nation audiences through music.

Free Groove performed in Bucharest and North Macedonia in support of Freedom 250 events, while our Chorus represented the Army through music during a Freedom 250 mission in Berlin, Germany.

Each performance helps tell the Army story abroad, looking ahead to America’s 250th anniversary.

Freedom 250 is underway.

As our Nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Army Europe-Africa Band & Chorus is proud to share the Army story across Europe through the power of music.

In the weeks ahead, our Soldiers will support ceremonies, community events, Embassy engagements, and Independence Day celebrations —strengthening bonds with Allies, partners, service members, families, and host-nation communities.

Every performance is an opportunity to connect, inspire, and represent the professionalism of the U.S. Army abroad.

Music has long been a part of military tradition, helping mark the moments that shape an organization’s history.

The U.S. Army Europe and Africa Band & Chorus was honored to provide ceremonial music for the 41st Field Artillery Brigade’s recent change of command ceremony, where Col. Frank Maxwell relinquished command of the “Railgunners” to Col. David Henderson.

As Soldiers, families and distinguished guests gathered to recognize years of leadership and service, our musicians were proud to help honor this important milestone through music that reflected the professionalism, pride and traditions of the U.S. Army.

Soldiers from the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Band & Chorus honored the legacy of the service members who fought for freedom during World War II through commemorative events in Normandy, France.

As we reflect on the enduring significance of D-Day, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and determination of those who helped secure liberty and forge the lasting bond between the United States and Europe.

Through music, the U.S. Army Europe and Africa Band & Chorus connects audiences to history while honoring the service and sacrifice that continue to strengthen the transatlantic partnership today.

Members of the USAREUR-AF Band & Chorus provided musical ceremonial support and jazz combo entertainment for the 95th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion Ball, helping set the tone for an evening celebrating service, tradition, and esprit de corps. Proud to support Soldiers through music. 🎶
