Extreme music isn't supposed to be perfect.

Somewhere along the way, endless editing, copy & paste workflows and chasing perfection became the new normal.

While some editing may be needed to solve problems in post production, it most often takes a lot away of what has always made heavy music exciting :

Human performance

I believe the best records don't just sound heavy.

They feel heavy.

Whether I'm recording a band from scratch or mixing tracks from the other side of the world, my goal is always the same :

Making real performances hit as hard as possible.

🔥🔥𝓦𝓐𝓝𝓓𝓔𝓡𝓔𝓡𝓢🔥🔥

Nachdem wir euch jetzt einige Tage mit unseren Videoschnipseln auf die Folter gespannt haben, ist es nun Zeit euch das Artwork für unser zweites Album nochmal ganz genau vorzustellen.

Dieses Kunstwerk entspringt abermals aus der Hand von Timon Kokott Art-Work.
Wir haben bis jetzt jedes Artwork von ihm machen lassen, und speziell hier hat er sich für unser Empfinden einfach mal wieder selbst übertroffen.
Als wir die Ideen für das Artwork an Timon weitergeleitet haben, waren wir überzeugt das er die Szene gut auf die Leinwand bringen würde. Das er aber nicht nur so nah an das Bild was in unseren Köpfen war drangekommen ist, sondern es sogar noch epischer als in unserer Vorstellung, das ist einfach sagenhaft.

Und jetzt verraten wir euch noch etwas.
Dieses Artwork hat lange vor den meisten Songs dieses Albums existiert.
Es war nicht nur unser Leitfaden, es wurde zur Inspiration.
Eine kreative Reise hat für uns mit diesem Artwork begonnen und wir freuen euch schon bald auch eine Kostprobe für die Ohren zu geben

Am Sonntag fahren wir zur finalen Mixsession ins Studio von Liquid Aether Audio
Dort haben wir mit viel Fleiß und Mühe 8 neue Songs eingespielt.
Wir schließen aber nicht nur da an wo " Always Heading East" aufgehört hat.
Abermals haben wir über den Tellerrand der Genregrenzen geschaut und was wir daraus gemacht haben.... nun darauf werdet ihr noch etwas warten müssen.

Schon bald können wir euch dann sagen was wir mit Sick Taste Records alles für euch geplant haben.

Recording drums still as analog as possible in 2026 is still a lot of fun! And in addition all the little inconsistencies and 'imperfections' make these drums irreplaceable by programmed drums or even AI. At least in my eyes.

Shout out to OLD RUINS for going this route with me for their new album!
