Here it is! ❤️🙂I created this piece because I don't like how framing the watercolor pieces behind glass takes away so much from the viewing pleasure. They always seem kind of distant and sealed away and there is always a glare somewhere! Especially the gold details get kind of lost behind glass. 😒
Here, I mounted the paper onto a wood panel and painted directly on it. Afterwards, I finished it off with a varnish to protect it. I love how the piece looks with this more contemporary approach! What do you think? Yay or nay?

Being a single mom is hard... But looking at these colours makes me happy 💙❤️🙂 I really love painting these little ones even though I had to get used to the process being a little different from my bigger pieces. It feels quite different to use tiny brushes and lots of tiny brushstrokes and layers.

This one was really hard to photograph for some reason 🤷‍♀️
I'm exhausted today. One of the hardest part about being a single parent is when your kids are sick and you're feeling under the weather yourself but you have to push through.
☝️ That's me today. All I want to do is lay in bed but I have to take care of my little sick ones. I always tell myself "It's just a few days, it's just a phase, it'll get easier again".
(Btw; I'm super grateful to have two healthy kids except for a little cold every now and then!)

This is actually one of the first I created in this style. Feeling rather exhausted and depressed after a long day (single mom of two) I just let loose and let the paint flow. Haven't looked back since ❤️🤷‍♀️
