Through our Aloka Vision Programme, we work with local partners and eye care specialists to bring essential eye care services closer to underserved communities. In one year, more than 1.9 million people were reached, and nearly 24,000 pairs of glasses were distributed. 👓

A damaged human heart cannot heal itself sufficiently. A zebrafish heart can. ️❤

After a heart attack, dead heart muscle cells in the human heart are permanently lost. The zebrafish, however, can regenerate damaged heart tissue, making it a fascinating model for cardiovascular research.

Using ZEISS Lightfield 4D, researchers can visualize the zebrafish heart in remarkable detail and track individual cells over time. 🔬

Without a cleanroom, there wouldn't be any modern microchips. 📲

Back in the 1990s, cleanrooms were home to the series production of our first optics for the exposure wavelength of 365 nanometers. A major milestone laying the foundation for the next generation of semiconductor manufacturing.

Today, we develop optics for DUV, EUV, and High-NA-EUV lithography, enabling structures with resolutions down to 8 nanometers. These technologies are key to manufacturing powerful microchips, for example for your smartphone.
