KL1 @ MAK, Frankfurt

For Ambiente: 25 Years of Talents – Local Perspectives, ten designers from the Rhine-Main region were each invited to present a single defining work at the Museum Angewandte Kunst (MAK) in Frankfurt. Kai Linke is showing KL1 - the cutlery set he designed for Heim Söhne.

The exhibition marks 25 years of the Ambiente Talents programme, which has supported emerging designers on their way into the international design scene since 2001. It’s a fitting stage for KL1: a set that began with Kai’s decades-long fascination with cutlery as a cultural object and took form in the hands of our 160-year-old manufactory.
