Juliane Tübke is a Berlin-based artist. In her practice, she combines sculpture, sound, and spatial installation, exploring relationships between humans, plants, landscapes, and other life forms. Her focus lies on symbiocene perspectives that understand humans as part of a complex network of mutual interdependence rather than as separate or superior beings. The resulting installations create atmospheric spaces in which ecological, bodily, and emotional layers intertwine.

Das Fieber a den Weidenbaum (2025), Juliane’s work in our current exhibition references historical practices in which illnesses were ritually transferred onto trees. The point of departure is the willow, long known as a medicinal plant due to its active compound salicin, which also forms the basis for aspirin.

Juliane’s work has been presented at the Green Heart Biennale (NL), the Kochi-Muziris Biennale (IND), Ausstellungsraum Klingental (CH), Britzenale (DE), Kunstraum Kreuzberg (DE), Soft Power (DE), Galerie Robert Morat (DE) and Haus am Lützowplatz (DE).

Apparition of Bloom, our upcoming exhibition, is the brainchild of Patricia Detmering , whose work explores the dynamics of social structures and the interplay between technology, society, and perception.

Her project, PAST IN PROGRESS (pictured here), from 2022 is a Sci Fi based installation that refers to Donna Haraway‘s invitation to think further about her narrative „Camille‘s Stories,” in which several generations of a human female, through genetic modification, were given an ability of the endangered fire salamander, who can store fertilized eggs until she decides to carry them under better conditions. In addition, the work also questions, in a Haraway sense, what the community of the fire salamander is. The artist herself saw the animal as a child in Thuringia, where it has become extinct. She explores the question, who was able to protect it there years ago? Are there disruption narratives that have made the community, in this case the environmentalists of the GDR, invisible? Who were these people and what can we learn from them today?

Jonas Brinker .brinker will be showing work in our upcoming exhibition Apparition of Bloom, opening this Thursday at 18:30 as part of the 2026.
Jonas studied at the Slade School of Fine Art London and the Städelschule Frankfurt, where he was a student of Douglas Gordon and Willem de Rooij. His works have been shown at, among others, Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof, CIRCA London, Frankfurter Kunstverein, Bundeskunsthalle Bonn, Kunstverein Hannover, and Berghain Berlin.
His time-based works emerge from patient studies of interwoven forms of life and environments that continuously shape one another. Through a poetic attention to synergistic effects, his videos and installations condense into an essence of observation and a deeper engagement with the relationships between subjects and their environments.

We are super excited that will be showing some new work at SAP Space for the upcoming exhibition Apparition of Bloom, opening this coming Thursday as part of the !

A previous project “Hold my Cup,” which draws from autobiographical experiences, is an interdisciplinary performance connecting painting, textiles, and the body. The work uses old tablecloths and curtains from the former GDR, which she collected from her family. Influenced by Butoh, a Japanese dance form, the performance explores the unspoken and hidden aspects of family and social structures.

The exhibition was the conception of Patricia Detmering , whose recent work and research has focused on Goethe’s The Metamorphosis of Plants. The exhibition features works by Detmering, Nancy Görlach , Juliane Tübke , and Jonas Brinker .brinker

Patricia Detmering is the artist and organizer of our upcoming exhibition — Apparition of Bloom, which opens on 11.06 as part of the ongoing 2026.
Patricia is a Berlin-based media artist whose work explores the dynamics of social structures and the interplay between technology, society, and perception. Through virtual worlds, AI-based simulations, installation, and literary forms, she creates transmedial narratives that investigate how collective systems emerge and shape experience. Her practice moves across physical and digital space, often unfolding as open-ended, time-based worlds. Detmering has exhibited internationally, including at the Centre Pompidou and the Berliner Festspiele, as well as in Japan and the United States. Her work has received multiple awards and scholarships.

Jonas Brinker .brinker is part of our forthcoming exhibition Apparition of Bloom, which opens 11.06. As part of the

Jonas’s solo exhibition ‘What Remains of Light’ is a poetic look at the synergetic effects between human and non-human beings. His time-based works are the cinematic essence of patient observation and immersion in the relationship between subjects and their environment. In an expansive video installation in the historic waiting hall of the Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof, Jonas Brinker follows the movements of the fireflies buzzing around Central Park in New York. The video work ‘Nightfall’ captures the bioluminescent glow of the beetles at dusk. After a long larval stage and pupation, fireflies use a lot of energy to emit flashing light signals for species-specific communication and reproduction. This is the final phase in the life cycle of this seemingly magical insect. By dispensing with narration, localised solely by the wafting sound of the city – the passing traffic and the wailing of sirens in the distance – the large-format video installation becomes an immersive visual experience and a melancholy exploration of beauty, longing and temporality. The loop creates a continuous encounter between the high-resolution macro images of the fireflies in their habitat and the aerial shots of the urban space that surrounds them. New York City functions as a place of longing like no other city. The shimmering skyline at night has an electrifying effect. The light becomes a metaphysical motif that oscillates between attraction and transience.

Nancy Görlach will be showing work at SAP Space for the upcoming exhibition Apparition of Bloom, which opens on 11.06.26 as part of the Project Space Festival.

Görlach (born in the former GDR, lives in Berlin) works interdisciplinarily at the intersection of painting, performance, and digital media. Her artistic training with Berlin-based painter Simone Wecks (painting and drawing) as well as in theater directing (Filmschauspielschule Berlin) forms the foundation for her interdisciplinary approach bridging visual and performing arts. Her works often stem from autobiographical
experiences, developing open-ended questions about memory, fragility, and the experiences of loss.

She is the co-founder of the international performance platform Bubble Gum and the Berlin
initiative OR, through which she curates exhibitions and events, as well as a member of
the women artists network SALOON Berlin. Her work has been shown internationally in exhibitions, galleries, and festivals, including in Belgrade, Paris, London, and Ponte de Lima in Portugal.

Juliane Tübke’s Kin (die große Klette) (2025) draws attention to the greater burdock — a plant that quietly thrives in the overlooked spaces of the city. Known less for its large leaves than for the burrs that cling stubbornly to clothing and fur, the plant becomes a figure for migration, attachment, and coexistence.

Using porcelain clay and spray paint, Tübke transfers the textures of burdock leaves and discarded denim into fragile sculptural forms that blur distinctions between plant, body, and urban environment.

If you’ve been to SAP Space, you’d have met Milo — for whom being apex predator and Casanova wasn’t a contradiction at all.
Yesterday, with heavy hearts, we sent Milo onward to his next journey. Needless to say, we’ll miss him sorely.
The garden, however, always reminds us that the many non-human companions we coexist with are more in tune with the rhythms of nature, its ebbs and flows.
Come Spring, we’ll plant something for milo, the king of this little jungle. 🌱
