Chidimma Adetshina Celebrates Miss Universe First Runner-Up Finish

Chidimma Adetshina, a 22-year-old beauty queen representing Nigeria, has expressed her excitement after finishing as the first runner-up at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant held in Mexico City. Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, won the crown, but Adetshina's achievement marks Nigeria's highest placement in Miss Universe history. She was also crowned Miss Universe Africa and Oceania. In a post-event interview, Adetshina stated, "I'm so excited. I don't have words to describe what I'm feeling right now, but I'm so proud of myself, and I just made history!"

Funke Akindele's film "Everybody Loves Jenifa" has officially become the highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time, setting a new industry record. The movie's distribution company, FilmOne, revealed that it surpassed the ₦1 billion milestone in less than two weeks and continues to lead at the box office. As of now, the film has grossed over ₦1.6 billion, making it the highest-grossing movie in West Africa.
