Meet this year's ESM Players' directors 🥳

As we get ready to raise the curtain, we want to shine a spotlight on the incredible directors behind this year’s ESM Players production. Their vision, creativity, and relentless dedication have guided this show from the first idea to the final rehearsal.

And now… the moment is almost here.

All performances are completely sold out. We are beyond grateful for the overwhelming support from our audience. The cast and crew are feeling a mix of emotions — excited, a little exhausted, but absolutely pumped for premiere night.

After months of rehearsals, long weekends, and countless cups of tea and coffee, heaps of gummibears, muffins and the odd healthy snack, kilos glue sticks, hundreds of safety pins, endless amounts of makeup wipes and jigging hours -- the hour is finally approaching. We cannot wait to share this production with you.

A huge shoutout to the incredible crew and creatives of Team ESM Players for bringing Macbeth to life. From the first idea to the final moment on stage, this production was built on your imagination, dedication, and teamwork.

To our directors, poster designers, stage managers, technicians, costume and prop creators, makeup and hair artists, fight, dance and music coaches, trailer peeps, photographers and everyone working behind the scenes—your vision and hard work transformed Shakespeare’s world into something powerful and unforgettable. Every light cue, sound effect, prop, costume detail, and backstage moment helped shape the magic the audience experienced.

When prophecy sparks a dangerous dream, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth will stop at nothing to claim the crown. Driven by ruthless ambition and haunted by their own deeds, their rise to power begins a chilling descent into guilt, madness, and destruction.

The ESM Players bring Shakespeare’s gripping tragedy to life—where loyalty is tested, morality crumbles, and the thirst for power consumes everything in its path.

The prophecy didn’t end with Macbeth…

Experience the darker side of power, fate, and legacy in our upcoming production of Macbeth by the ESM Players. As Macbeth fights to maintain his grip on the crown, a new future quietly takes shape.

Banquo’s lineage is promised a royal future by the witches’ prophecy. Though Banquo never ascends to the throne, their legacy persists through Fleance, who escapes the treacherous night with a promise of kingship.

This escape gives rise to a legend: the line of Scottish kings foretold by the witches.

Join us as ambition rises, loyalties are tested, and Scotland’s fate hangs in the balance.
