This summer is packed. 🚀

Ten releases.Multiple artists.Thousands of studio hours.

Every track on this schedule was produced in our studio, and—apart from the cover versions—we were also involved in the songwriting process.

Seeing these records released on labels we genuinely admire makes us incredibly proud, but even more important is the trust our artists place in us every single day.

Thanks to everyone who's been part of this journey.

Now it's time to finally share the music. ❤️

People usually celebrate the release day.

Or the chart positions.

Or the streaming milestones.

What they rarely see are the countless hours before any of that happens.

The conversations.
The experimentation.
The revisions.
The moments where a song slowly becomes something worth sharing.

Every successful release starts long before the first stream.

It starts in rooms like this.

Many artists approach their careers like a game of chance. They release a track, hope it lands on the right playlist, hope the algorithm picks it up or hope a video goes viral.

Sometimes that works.

But hope is not a strategy.

Building a sustainable music career requires more than great records. Every release is a series of decisions: Should it be self-released or pitched to a label? Is the timing right? Which audience should it reach? How does it support the artist's long-term positioning?

While luck certainly plays a role in the music industry, lasting success is rarely accidental. Viral moments, algorithmic support and industry opportunities tend to benefit artists who have already built a strong foundation through quality music, a clear identity and a well-defined strategy.

At MCP, we believe that successful careers are built through thoughtful planning, consistent ex*****on and informed decision-making. That's why we combine music production, artist development, label expertise and DSP strategy to help artists maximize the potential of every release.

Because success in music isn't about placing bigger bets.

It's about making better decisions.

Finishing a track is one of the best feelings as an artist.

But the master isn't the finish line—it's the starting point for a series of decisions that can shape a release.

The right label.
The right timing.
The right positioning.

Great music gets people to listen. A smart strategy helps make sure they keep listening.

That's why, at MCP Boutique Artist Management & Production, we work with artists long before—and long after—the master is finished.

A little studio throwback.

Back when our studio was certified for Apple Digital Masters (formerly Mastered for iTunes). Looking at this photo, it must have been around 2018 — still the old studio layout, white walls and a simpler setup than today.

A lot has changed since then, but the goal has remained the same: creating records that sound as good as possible, no matter where people listen to them.

Funny how quickly the years go by.

A little throwback to one of our proudest milestones. 🙌

Back in 2013, the Nora En Pure Remix of "Canto Del Pilón" reached #1 on Beatport's Nu Disco / Indie Dance Chart. Looking back, it was a huge achievement and a reminder of how much Beatport has always meant to the electronic music community.

More than a decade later, the industry has changed dramatically. Platforms have come and gone, and with Juno recently closing its download store, Beatport has become even more important. For DJs, labels and producers, it remains the benchmark for discovering, supporting and charting electronic music.

Grateful for the memories, proud of the journey, and excited for what's still to come. ❤️

Why Streams Alone Don't Build a Career

Every artist wants more streams.

And there's nothing wrong with that.

But one of the biggest misconceptions in today's music industry is that streams automatically translate into a sustainable career.

They don't.

We've seen tracks generate millions of streams while the artist behind them struggles to build a real audience. We've also seen artists with far fewer streams create loyal communities, sell tickets, attract brand partnerships and grow steadily year after year.

The difference?

Communication.

A successful release should never be the end of the story. It's the beginning.

Artists need to give people a reason to follow the journey beyond Spotify:

• Share the story behind a track
• Show the creative process in the studio
• Release DJ mixes, edits or exclusive content
• Document the highs and lows of building a career
• Let fans connect with the person behind the music

This doesn't mean spending all day on social media.

It means creating touchpoints that turn listeners into followers and followers into fans.

Because a viral moment can get attention.

But only consistent communication can turn that attention into a long-term career.

Streams create awareness. Relationships create careers.

🎤 Can You Release a Track with AI-Generated Vocals?

The answer isn't as simple as yer or no.

Today, platforms like Suno allow artists and producers to create songs with AI-generated vocals that can be distributed through most digital distributors.

The more important question is:

🤔 Should you?

The answer depends on your goals.

For self-releases, AI-generated vocals are generally accepted as long as you comply with the platform's terms of use. However, things become more complicated if you're targeting major labels, established independent labels or building long-term catalogue value.

⚖️ The legal situation around generative AI is still evolving. Companies like Suno are currently facing lawsuits from major labels, publishers and rights holders. As of today, nobody knows exactly how courts will rule or how AI-generated content will be treated in the future.

One challenge is transparency. Unlike working with a human singer, it's often impossible to know which recordings, voices or musical works may have contributed to training a model. For that reason, some labels and business partners remain cautious, and we've already seen policies that restrict or prohibit AI-generated content.

💡 AI can still be a powerful creative tool. Many artists use AI vocals to develop ideas, test concepts and create demos. If a label becomes interested, it may later make sense to replace those vocals with a professional singer or replay certain elements before the final release.

🚀 AI can help you get started.

🎯 But depending on your ambitions, it may not always be the final destination.

What's your view on AI-generated vocals? Are they the future of music production or simply a stepping stone in the creative process?

Looking at Pedro today, it's easy to focus on the numbers.

Hundreds of millions of streams, chart success and a global audience.

What many people don't know is that, unlike most success stories that are explained in hindsight, we could see from the very beginning that something unusual was happening.

The trend didn't start on Spotify or SoundCloud. It started on TikTok with a simple garage video that suddenly began spreading at a pace we'd never seen before. The engagement, the shares and the velocity of the content were fundamentally different from a typical release.

What we couldn't predict was where that momentum would eventually lead.

As the song continued to grow, another unexpected moment happened: the now-famous dancing raccoon video took off and gave Pedro a second massive viral push. Suddenly, there weren't just one, but two independent viral phenomena feeding the same record.

That's when things really started accelerating.

I still remember a conversation with a Sony manager during those early stages. After looking at the data, he casually said:

"It will make half a billion streams."

We thought he was completely crazy.

At the time, it sounded impossible.

Today, that's exactly where the record has landed.

What makes the story even more remarkable is that Pedro didn't just become a streaming success. The song went on to win the 2024 TikTok Ad Award for the most successful campaign in Europe — a reminder that cultural impact often extends far beyond the music platforms themselves.

One of the biggest lessons from Pedro is that while data can tell you when something is different, it can't always tell you how far it can go. You still need great music, the right timing, a bit of luck and the ability to react quickly when opportunities appear.

The industry often talks about creating viral moments. In reality, most of them can't be planned.

What you can do is recognize them when they happen and be ready to amplify them.

Pedro wasn't the result of a master plan.

It was the result of a great record meeting culture at exactly the right moment.
