For the next STP FWD session, Free Mind Soundsystem will host a special Soundsystem Conference at Import Export, continuing their tradition of bringing the soundsystem experience to life. This event features a unique format where three self-built soundsystems take turns playing one after another. Each system represents its own sonic identity while working together in a spirit of friendship and musical collaboration. Rather than competing, the systems push each other creatively, building energy throughout the night and showcasing the diversity and strength of independent soundsystem culture.

Alongside Free Mind, the other two participating systems are Moonbase and Farmer, each bringing their own character and sound to the stage. Together, they create a dynamic musical journey that highlights the communal and supportive nature of the soundsystem scene.

With their album to be released on “Soon Come Records,” the French artists are coming straight from Paris to join us at the next STP FWD session.
Together with Foot Print System & Tewagi and the Dubylon Crew from Augsburg we will celebrate another powerful soundsystem session.
is a music project from Paris, founded in 2009, blending 90s dub with influences from the Balkans, the Middle East, India, and Africa. Its aim is to unite diverse musical identities and to promote sound system culture as a tool for education, community building, and international solidarity. Since 2014, they have been working closely with and are preparing the release of their album “Dubamorphose” in spring 2026. Their music carries an anarchist, anti-fascist, and internationalist message.
The .official from Augsburg is a local collective from the dub and soundsystem scene, primarily active as event organizers. They run the “Dubylonfabrik” series—currently the city’s leading dub & steppers session—providing a platform for both local and international artists.
Free Mind Soundsystem is a collective from the Munich and Weilheim dub and reggae scene, focused on soundsystem culture and community-driven events. Their STP FWD sessions and the in Weilheim are at the heart of their activities, using music as a unifying force to bring people together and actively shape a vibrant dub and soundsystem scene in Munich.

On October 25th, 2025, the STP FWD series welcomes a special line-up: French producer , returning after six years since his last appearance at Import Export, joins forces with UK singer Layla Carter and the Free Mind Soundsystem.
Higher Meditation has become an established figure in the international Dub landscape. Originally from France and now based in Leicester (UK), he works closely with the renowned Vibronics Studio. His productions and dubplates are played by heavyweight sound systems including King Shiloh, Iration Steppas, Channel One and Blackboard Jungle. Drawing inspiration from pioneers such as King Tubby, Scientist, The Disciples and Alpha & Omega, he translates the roots of Dub into a modern, forward-thinking sound.
Layla Carter aka will accompany the session vocally – both alongside Higher Meditation and together with the Free Mind Soundsystem. Originated from jazz, the singer Layla aka L.Boony embellishes every version in her very own way with a toasting fusion of DnB, UK Grime, Dub and RnB. The young MC places special emphasis on consciousness in her music as well as on togetherness on the dance. Her previous performances at STP FWD have shown her ability to bring reflection, awareness and unity into the sessions – making her an essential part of this night’s musical journey.
With Higher Meditation, Layla Carter and the Free Mind Soundsystem, the evening promises to be an experience for Dub enthusiasts and newcomers alike: bass-driven, conscious and inspiring.

For years, STP FWD (Step Forward) has been at the heart of Munich’s dub and sound system scene – a place where we come together with everyone who loves heavy basslines, carefully selected tunes, and true sound system culture. Over time, our series at Import Export has become an institution – a pilgrimage site for those who want to experience authentic sessions.

On September 27, the wait is finally over: after the summer break and , we open the new season together with you. We – Free Mind Sound System – will, as always, roll in with our self-built sound system, immersing the room in deep, vibrating frequencies. For this opening night, we have something special: the .sisters from Berlin, joined by MC Emboka – bringing musical precision, empowering lyrics, and high-energy dub vibes. For us, STP FWD is more than just a party. It’s a space to connect, exchange, and celebrate together – carried by the culture that unites us. For this summer’s last STP FWD, we’ve chosen a regional specialty.
from Augsburg, .dubrise from Munich and from strasbourg/munich will treat us with their own productions.
And of course FREE MIND SOUNDSYSTEM will be there in full effect.

This day is eagerly awaited in the sound system scene, as the flag of sound system culture is already being raised high during the day.

At „Corso Leopold“ in Schwabing, several local sound systems will be standing up for their cultural freedom.

We are very pleased to be able to present you another edition of STP FWD. This time again with another SOUNDSYSTEM CONFERENCE. We will be honored by the mighty .chalice soundsystem from Freising together with the singer . A powerful voice in the copenhagen underground reggae scene. We are also looking forward to our special guests from France: and from Charente near Bourdeaux. Another round of STP FWD is coming up and we the Free Mind Soundsystem will once again set up our sound system at import export. There will be a wild session with one of the most promising producers from the european dub szene.
We are really looking forward to meet . Baba perfectly embodies the energy and madness of dub music, of which he is one of the pioneers in France. He is among those who helped popularize UK-inspired dub in the country. With experience gained alongside notable artists such as Weeding Dub, Nazamba, Dub Machinist, and many others, I-Tist tours across Europe with his boundless energy and explosive dubs, blending classic sounds with intense steppers, UK influences, and industrial tones. Be warned, his energy is more than contagious live. Get ready to skank hard!
