Entity Theatre e.V. We are an anglophone community theatre company in beautiful Munich, Bavaria! 🥨🍻 Entity is an international, English-language theatre group located in Munich.

We have members aged 18 and upwards from all corners of the world, and we welcome people with diverse backgrounds to participate in our activities and performances. Although we are an amateur group, we take what we do seriously and we have a reputation for putting on fantastic shows with excellent reviews. Our community is passionate, dedicated and has a genuine love for all things theatre. We are always looking for new members who share that love to contribute to our community.

“Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown.”

Although this quote is from Shakespeare's Henry IV, Part 2, it perfectly captures the main idea of Macbeth. Once Macbeth becomes king, the crown brings him no peace or happiness. Instead, he is consumed by fear, guilt, and paranoia. He worries constantly about losing his power, particularly because of the witches' prophecy concerning Banquo's descendants.

Neither did King Duncan profit from this crown...

Call for Ushers ---- Join the crew, get a team t-shirt!

Dear friends of Entity Theatre, dear Shakespeare friends,

The team for this year's open-air production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth needs YOU.

We are looking for ushers to help out during our shows, 4/5, 10-12 and 17-19 July 2026 at the Theatron in Munich's Westpark.

Your tasks will be:
- Supporting the Front of House manager
- Helping to seat the audience
- Monitoring the entrances/exits and keeping the steps clear for the actors throughout the performance (you can, of course, enjoy the show at the same time!)

You do not need any previous experience, we will show you exactly what you need to do. And as a thank you for your time and participation, join the rest of the cast and crew for a free drink after the show.

This July: something wicked this way comes...

Fair is foul, and foul is fair;
Hover through the fog and filthy air.
(Macbeth, Act 1, Scene 1)

Prepare for power struggles and knotty intrigue in the Theatron, as the witches set events in motion with dangerous prophecies whispered in Macbeth’s ear. Their words ignite ambition, pushing him toward murder and the throne. As their visions unfold, they prey on his trust in fate, guiding his actions and deepening his paranoia. Even Lady Macbeth is caught in the dark spell they weave. With every bloody deed, the lines between free will and fate become more obscured. As chaos spreads and reality fractures, it becomes clear that Macbeth does not control his fate – the witches are still pulling the strings.
