I decided to take my sketchbook along with me while my mom and her friend were looking around the Prague castle. I’m glad I did because I captured this quick little sketch, which I will maybe add some more to later, in about 20 minutes.

It is such a pleasure and privilege to be able to sit and admire such incredible places, like the St. Vitus Cathedral in the Prague Castle.

📍 Schloss Neuschwanstein

A rainy day can’t keep me from making the most of it. While my mom and her friend were on a tour inside, I found a covered spot and settled in for a rainy day sketch session.

I love the simplicity of drawing in a tiny notebook with a pen. It’s permanent yet malleable. And it makes you slow down and really focus on the view in front of you.

Whole drawing, I befriended some very sweet, and a little sassy, Italian grandpas who made the 45 minutes even better!

Relax while I peel the tape off this little painted illustration. This is in 1.5 speed, because tape peeling takes time.

Feels good to finish another painting for the collection of illustrations for my friends book!

I’m thankful to finally feel up to painting again, so today seems like a great day to work on this big boy! Let’s keep repairing my painting that got damaged on its trip from the USA to Germany.

I’m so grateful to live in a country where I have access to amazing healthcare and was able to get my hand fixed quickly by a highly qualified surgeon, and with no looming medical bills!
