There are some surprising similarities between Russia-Ukraine and India-Bangladesh:
- Just like Russia and Ukraine, India and Bangladesh are neighboring countries.
- Russia is a superpower that seeks to assert its dominance/influence in its region—similarly, India is a regional power that aims to establish its dominance/influence in its region.
- Russia blindly supported Putin’s loyalist Yanukovych in Ukraine—likewise, India blindly supports Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh.
- Russia tries to keep Ukraine as a "client state"—India also tries to maintain Bangladesh as a "client state."
- In 2014, the people of Ukraine rose against Yanukovych due to anti-people activities (pro-Russian) and overthrew him through the "Orange Revolution." Yanukovych fled to Russia—In 2024, due to 16 years of anti-people activities and repression/oppression (pro-India), the students and people of Bangladesh rise up and overthrow Sheikh Hasina through the "Red Revolution." Sheikh Hasina flees to India.
- In Russia, the media starts spreading various false propaganda about Ukraine—In India, the media begins spreading various false propaganda about Bangladesh.
- A few months after Yanukovych fled in 2014, Russia attacked Ukraine, occupied Crimea, and ignited a war—In 2024, a few weeks after Sheikh Hasina’s escape, India does a heinous act by releasing water from dams to flood Bangladesh and cutting off electricity supply.
But we won't allow this anymore. Together, we will rebuild a new nation and show the world the power of youth and the strength of unity.
