A warm invitation to the opening of in cologne on June 12, 2022.
We are very happy to be part of this exhibition and to get the opportunity to shape POKY into yet another form.

We are looking forward to maybe seeing some familiar faces that weekend. We both will be around!

After POKY’s physical body has disappeared with our last exhibition, we are leaving fertile ground for new ideas to grow 🌱
Even though we are taking a break right now, you can rest assured that this is not the end of the POKY story. We are already planning future projects🙏🏼

Julien Hübsch works and lives in Mainz. He studies at with Shannon Bool ( / ).
In his work he often draws inspiration from urban landscapes like construction sites and looks at all kinds of mark making. On that basis he explores how these forms, colors and artifacts create compositions or relate to abstract painting. His works seem like remnants of an abstracted urban space ranging from painting, assemblage to sculptural installation.

His work is was already shown among others at Salon du CAL, TUFA Trier, Galerie Schlassgoart in Esch-sur-Alzette and is currently on view at CAW Walferdange. His work is also being featured in the collection of the Luxembourg City Museums as of last year.

The performative de-construction (curated by Julien Hübsch) will be at a standstill every day at 4 pm. POKY’s fragmented state can then be visited until the next day when work on the construction site starts again.

A walk-by-exhibition
On view mo — fr until 10 pm

Unfortunately due to the next lockdown that starts also on Monday, we won’t be able to host any events or have any opening hours.
For the upcoming exhibition POKY will function as a pavilion to walk in and walk by — we removed the front side so everyone is welcome to take their time here and enjoy Nils Schulz’ side specific painting within those walls.

Alina Röbke's work consists of installations including metal, paper and fabric. In her work she is concerned with the painterly potential of photographic materials. For her (degree) show she turned POKY into an installation itself. Two architectures crossing each other. A light sensitive painting was hung from a metal cube. The sun was constantly creating another color/image.
