This GivingTuesday, please consider supporting the Inc. Your gift helps empower communities, provide medical care and supports education.

Together the LCCF and Ewaso community are making things happen: working for women's rights and progress, helping children get through secondary schooling and beyond, developing innovative ways to not only safeguard their crops from wildlife, but work hard to create coexistence programs that keep people and wildlife thriving together.

Every donation creates a real and lasting impact, and 100% of EVERY donation goes straight to the community.

✨ Join us in Creating a Brighter Future this ! On December 2nd, your generosity helps provide access to food, education, women’s initiatives, and expanded health services to the Maasai and Samburu communities.

💛 Your support makes a direct and immediate difference and helps create lasting change.

📅 Save the date and donate to help us Create a Brighter Future.

This year we honor Dr. Paul “Doc” Byron, a beloved member of our LCCF family who shared his medical skill and compassion with the Loisaba community year after year. His gentle leadership, joyful spirit, and deep respect for the people he served live on in every clinic visit and in every life touched by his care.

“There’s still time for the planet if we stay hopeful.” ~Jane Goodall

Every time I feel the weight of “what difference can one person make?” I think of Jane Goodall. Her persistence, compassion, and quiet strength remind me to keep showing up—whether with my actions, my paintbrush, my sketchbook, or in the wild.

Her momentum fuels mine. Here’s to carrying her spirit forward in art, conservation, and the hope we share for the future.

RIP Jane Goodall. My hero.

A little wild and wonderfully whimsical — this hare and country flowers pattern bloomed from my journey in the Jasmine Hnatkova course. Inspired by slow days, tangled meadows, and the quiet magic of the countryside.

This little giraffe sketch is going places — part of a bigger “journey” to raise awareness for conservation. It will be made into a larger more impactful oil painting… now, how big should I make it? 3ft, 4ft, 5ft long???? (FUN FACT: a group of giraffe walking together is called a “journey” and when they are standing together it is called a “tower”)

This piece will grow into a larger work supporting giraffe conservation — because their journey deserves to continue. 🌍💛

Proud to share this watercolor of a Martial Eagle, painted in support of the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) and their vital work protecting Africa’s birds of prey. 🦅💚

EWT’s Birds of Prey Programme works to safeguard raptors like the Martial Eagle, whose numbers are declining due to habitat loss, poisoning, and human-wildlife conflict. Their conservation efforts include research, education, and direct interventions to ensure these apex predators continue to soar over Africa’s wild landscapes.

This piece will help support EWT’s charity golf outings in South Africa, where supporters come together to make a real impact for wildlife conservation. Thrilled to contribute my art to this incredible cause for the third year!

EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE
The Conservation Artist in Residence Program
for January 8-14, 2025!

This week, our Conservation Artist in Residence Program is unfolding at the breathtaking The Elewana Collection location, Elsa’s Kopje in Meru National Park . We are creating art that reflects the incredible beauty of the park’s wildlife and landscapes while sharing the vital conservation message of this iconic lodge.

Through these artworks, we aim to inspire action and support for the critical efforts of David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and the Land & Life Foundation . Every brushstroke celebrates nature and contributes to its protection.

Elsa’s Kopje is named after the famous lioness Elsa, made legendary by the book and film Born Free. Elsa was raised by conservationists George and Joy Adamson after being orphaned as a cub in the Meru region. The lodge is built on Mughwango Hill, where George raised and released orphan lions back into the wild, marking a pivotal moment in wildlife conservation history. Today, Elsa’s Kopje stands as a tribute to her legacy, blending luxury with a deep commitment to preserving Meru National Park’s wildlife and landscapes.

Follow along and be part of this creative conservation journey!
