The last weekend is still resonating.
And how lucky we were with the weather. Sun, warmth and a bit of wind in perfect moments to play the wind harp with Marta Zapparoli and Sabine Vogel. So many people came to see the concert! It was a great atmosphere, peaceful and happy.
Thank you so much Deborah Walker and Silvia Tarozzi for their singing and music and teaching the songs to the singers of the Ketziner Havelklänge, who enjoyed the project a lot as well as you can see on the photos .

We are thrilled to have the wonderful project CANTI DI GUERRA, DI LAVORO E D'AMORE by Silvia Tarozzi & Deborah Walker next Sunday at Paretzer Field Music. They will be joined by some singers of the Ketziner Havelklänge.
Also the new work ALBERO by Marta Zapparoli and Sabine Vogel will be presented. A tree becomes an antenna and transformes frequences into music.

Don't miss it. Next Sunday 10th of May. 3 pm!!!! Take your picnic baskets and come!!!!

Finally here some photos from the last Paretzer Field Music concert with ZINC & COPPER and SFERICS by Alvin Luccier. It was a fantastic afternoon. The audience could listen to the electricmagnetic waves from the atmosphere through Alvin Lucier's installation by Alvin Lucier, which was very well presented by Hauke Harder, who also read a few lines from Lucier's diary notes about the piece.
ZINC & COPPER played wonderful music (by Alvin Lucier, Hanna Hartman, Zinc & Copper), that fit so well into the surroundings and the audience listened was very attentively. The afternoon finished with an duo improvisation by Elena Kakaliagou and Sabine Vogel and a quartet interpretation of the piece Trees, Traces & Roots by Sabine Vogel.

It has been again a wonderful picnic music season and we would like to thank the Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kultur Brandenburg and Musikfonds e.V. once again for their financial support.

Many thanks also to everyone who came and listened. We wish you all a great rest of the summer and hope to see you next year again.

COMING SUNDAY at PARETZER FIELD MUSIC

SFERICS by Alvin Lucier

It is the first time, that SFERICS is shown in Germany
These radio waves, called “sferics” (short for atmospherics), are natural radiofrequency emissions resulting from lightning in the ionosphere.

ZINC & COPPER
The low brass trio Zinc & Copper has been active on the international music scene for over ten years and specializes in intonation that makes the body vibrate. Known for their warm, long tones, they will play their composition “Well Tuned Brass” for the first time in Paretz, framed by solo works by Alvin Lucier and improvisations.

Last Sunday was a blast! We are so thankful to the weather goddesses and gods for being with us and sending us some wind and no rain. The wind contributed a lot specially in the first set with Steinunn Stefánsdóttir and Sabine Vogel! Lê Quan Ninh‘s solos at the gong and his surrounded drum was breath taking and almost dramatic with dark clouds and a bit of thunder growling. But even the bird walk with Meinrad Kneer was happening without rain 🙂
