My cheap trick to sanding down bottoms without investing a dim. It may not be the most glamorous method, but it works.

A friend recently asked me to commission a 6 set ramen bowl for her home. So here is my making process from start to finish.

These bowls are paired in the same colour ways as mugs and plates that I’ve made her over the past year. She, like a few of you guys, is slowly replacing her old kitchenware with my pieces, which is a feeling that I still haven’t quite gotten used to yet!

I fitted in two glaze firings in the month of August, just in time for my “Präsentationstag” (presentation day) at 's Fachl Hamburg.

What does that mean? I get to display my ceramics not only in the rented crate, but also on a display table. The larger collection will be available to purchase for a whole week, so make sure to come by and have a look.

I’ll be there to personally greet you tomorrow (Saturday).

I couldn’t wait to test my pourers once I got them back from the kiln, so here are my predictions and honest ratings on each one of them.

In all honesty, I don’t know how people make spouts that don’t drip, even just a little. But I suppose that’s one of those things about handmade, that there will always be small imperfections/ faults to them.

I’m slowly building my way up to a shop update, and these pourers will be part of that collection, date will be announced in the coming weeks!

I’m still relatively new to making berry-strainers so when I noticed I kept getting cracks on the lids around the attachment points, I knew I wanted to try making them an alternative way. This method is very similar to how I’ve been making keep-cups this year.

Because I am folding clay in itself, I make sure to add an extra 100grams to not lose too much height.

Thoughts on this method of throwing?
