Today, October 31st, is the official release date of SOPOR AETERNUS’ fabulously fabulous new album “THE DEAD HAVE COME“ and the accompanying 6-track EP “DEA MUTÁRION“. :)

Depending on where you are on this planet, the mere music should be available on all the streaming platforms within the next few hours, whenever the clock strikes midnight for you.

I am very “happy“ (relatively speaking, obviously, because … you know … goff, goff, goff and all that) with this wonderful release! Everything sounds the way it is supposed to sound, and everything looks the way I wanted it to look. Both the DOUBLE FEATURE CD-BOX and the various VINYL editions all turned out so very beautifully … and — and as cheesy as this may sound — I am honestly grateful for … well, ALL of this! :)

Happy Halloween. 🎃

P.S.: Oh, I almost forgot, there is short blog-entry over on SOPOR’s homopage. http://www.soporaeternus.de/Only_Homosexuality_can_save_you_now.html

Everyone thinks building a better home studio means buying more gear.
We just built one for under 1500€ — and it wasn’t the gear that made the biggest difference.

Here’s what actually transformed the sound 🎯

One of my favorite albums to ever have produced will soon come „back“ in an enhanced sounding version.
I usually don’t like to touch up works, since they capture the moment and mostly should stay the way they are…
But this one was fun to make, and felt right to do.
Original spirit conserved, clarity and details enhanced ;)

Friends,
some of you may remember this album that I recorded with my then collaborator and miracle-working engineer and flawless arranger Patrick Damiani back in 2008/2009. Several moons ago, Patrick approached me about remixing a song of these sessions for a project of his and after hearing the amazing result, I talked him into remixing the whole album. We dug deep into the original tracks of it all and laid bare some hidden little gems to create an enhanced listening experience of this rather personal album…
Much like the updated album art work depicting my great uncle and his comrades in French exile in the late 40s and early 50s, this replenished version sheds some new light on these “Flowers From Exile”. You’ll find it here:
