The wait is almost over! 👏

After eight months, Kunsthalle Würth will reopen its doors on Friday, October 16, 2026 with the exhibition “Anselm Kiefer – All That Is the Case“, featuring works from Würth Collection and works on loan from Anselm Kiefer. Admission is free.

Experience more than 70 artworks spanning every phase and medium of one of the most renowned contemporary artists. From heroic symbols to leaden libraries and from Robert Fludd's cosmic philosophies to Paul Celan's poetry, Kiefer's paintings become arenas of excavation where ash, fire, storm and rain converge with the vast expanse of nature.

Nach acht Monaten öffnet die Kunsthalle Würth am 16. Oktober 2026 wieder ihre Türen und präsentiert die Ausstellung „Anselm Kiefer – Alles, was der Fall ist“. Zu sehen sind Werke aus der Sammlung Würth sowie Leihgaben von Anselm Kiefer. Der Eintritt ist frei.

Entdeckt mehr als 70 Werke aus allen Schaffensphasen und in unterschiedlichsten Medien von einem der renommiertesten Gegenwartskünstler. Von heroischen Symbolen über bleierne Bibliotheken bis hin zu Robert Fludds kosmischen Philosophien und Paul Celans Lyrik werden Kiefers Gemälde zu Schauplätzen der Ausgrabung, an denen Asche, Feuer, Sturm und Regen mit der unermesslichen Weite der Natur zusammentreffen.

POV: Du bist 511 Jahre alt und wirst immer noch „der Jüngere“ genannt.

Geboren 1515 in Wittenberg feiert heute einer der ganz großen Alten Meister Geburtstag: Lucas Cranach der Jüngere. Prägend für die Bildsprache der Reformation faszinieren seine Werke bis heute, wie dieses Portrait von Johann Friedrich I. von Sachsen, genannt „der Großmütige“. Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Lucas Cranach der Jüngere! 🎉

Tipp: Dieses und viele weitere Gemälde könnt ihr bei freiem Eintritt in der Johanniterkirche in Schwäbisch Hall besichtigen, nur fünf Gehminuten von der Kunsthalle Würth entfernt, die am 16. Oktober 2026 wiedereröffnet.

To mark today's German Unity Day, we spotlight an East German voice in concrete art: Karl-Heinz Adler (1927–2018). Co-founder of the legendary “Gruppe 53,“ he spent decades developing a visual language based on grids, layers, and precise repetition.

The artwork “Sfumato“ brings this language into focus. The piece layers soft tonal gradients over strict geometric structures, creating a quiet tension between the painterly and the systematic, and between intuition and calculation. It shows Adler at his most pared-back and precise.

The work will return to the exhibition “FOCUS“ at Museum Würth 2 in Künzelsau in mid-November and once again be on view at the Belvedere. Be sure to visit it after its return!

The cross was one of Gertrude Reum's most enduring motifs.

It appeared in her very first sculptural commission, a metal cross for the Protestant community centre in Heidelberg-Boxberg in 1968. It returned in sacred spaces such as St. Johannes in Heimbuchenthal and St. Oswald in Buchen, where her two-metre hanging cross in folded brass still anchors the apse today. And it kept appearing in her free work, in crossing, bundling and overlapping grind marks on aluminium, in reduced bar forms on paper, in drawings of Christ's head built from fine intersections like a crown of thorns.

Our exhibition “The Principle of Transformation. Gertrude Reum“ is still on view at Museum Würth in Künzelsau until November 8, 2026. As Gertrude Reum's centenary approaches in October, we are celebrating 100 years of her life.

A recap of a special evening at Museum Würth in Künzelsau on September 15, 2026 🗣

"Dekorateurin für Raum und Zeit oder: ChromNickelStahlPoesie," a stirring word program created by the Akademie für Gesprochenes Wort (EN: Academy for the Spoken Word) in honor of sculptor Gertrude Reum on the occasion of her 100th birthday.

Through spoken word and song, the performance traced the recurring motifs found in Reum's sculptures and reliefs, namely metal, gravity, movement, and relationship, and explored the central question of where existence is headed and what role beauty plays in it.

Featuring speech and song by Sandra Hartmann, Jule Hölzgen, and Orlando Schenk, percussion by Daniel Kartmann; and script and direction by Timo Brunke and Orlando Schenk.
