It never rains at KNRD Fest. That slogan had been nothing but the absolute truth for fu***ng 12 years — until Wonk Unit abruptly shattered the myth in 2024. We’re not holding a grudge, not at all — although, in fairness, someone could have warned us what was coming. Anyway. Back then, only a handful of weatherproof sailors stood their ground against the midnight storm and partied on until the bitter end. KNRD vowed to give Wonk Unit (and the weather gods) a second chance. Well — here it is.

🫤 Bad news: Sadly, had to cancel her entire European tour and therefore won’t be making it to KNRD Fest this summer 💔🌲

But don't panic! KNRD has already been pulling emergency strings to save the partyyyyy 🥳 The rescue mission will be revealed tomorrow - stay tuned!

📣 Der geplante The Smith Street Band Gig am 06.06.2026 fällt aus. Wegen im Raum stehender Vorwürfe gegen den Sänger Wil Wagner aus 2019 und unzureichender Aufarbeitung dieser, möchte das Heizhaus der Band keine Bühne bieten.

Auch wir als KNRD Fest e.V. haben uns tiefgehend mit der Sachlage beschäftigt und im Prozess verschiedene Perspektiven ausgehalten und diskutiert. Wir haben sie zum Anlass genommen, uns als KNRD Fest e.V. noch stärker mit unserer Verantwortung als Veranstaltende zu beschäftigen und werden das auch weiterhin ganz bewusst tun. Als Veranstaltende von Punkrock Shows verstehen wir es als unsere Verantwortung, auf gesellschaftliche Missstände wie Sexismus und Gewalt gegen Frauen aufmerksam zu machen. Wir verstehen die Entscheidung des Heizhaus, auch wenn wir in diesem Fall zu einem anderen Schluss gekommen wären.

Vor allem wünschen wir uns eine Community, die auch weiterhin offen im Austausch bleibt, in der auch Unangenehmes angesprochen werden kann und die verschiedene Perspektiven erstmal aushält, damit sich wirklich etwas ändern kann. Bitte sagt uns auch zukünftig, wenn ihr das Gefühl habt, dass wir problematischen Personen eine Bühne bieten. Danke!

Alle, die bereits ein Ticket gekauft haben, bekommen ihr Geld in den nächsten Tagen zurück überwiesen.

💫 fab as in FABulous?

is a feminist synth-punk band from Munich that catched KNRD with their fun, entertaining energy when they first saw them live: angry, political and danceable, yeiiiih! Their songs are against macho guys and dirty potatoes (what else could you wish for?) and for more chardonnay in the urine (sorry, öttinger...). So get ready everyone, let’s go FAB 🥂

Woooaw, f*cking Antillectual are back 😍

They are one of the most actively touring bands in all of Europe and have been standing up for good causes for more than 20 years. Naturally, their paths have crossed with KNRD a few times, yet Antillectual last graced the KNRD Fest stage seven years ago. So it's high time to lure our friends from the Netherlands back to the punk soaked, Franconian forest once again.

And what can we say? We're absolutely thrilled. Welcome back, friends.
