SALAH ZATER is a performer, dancer, and choreographer from Hamburg. Currently, he is working as a consultant for the Performing Arts Program in Berlin. His work moves between dance, performance, and intervention in public spaces and critically engages with issues of racism, decolonization, human rights, social justice, the power of dance and healing, love, hate, birth, death and love with inanimate objects. It moves between dance, performance, and intervention in public spaces. He has performed in many places inside and outside of Germany. Salah develops movements, dance strategies and actions to explore the social and political relationship between body and space. He studies the connection between body, mind, and spirit and seeks to find ways to give particular expression to emotions through movement. He aims to explore new ways in which dance can function as a tool for social transformation and liberation.
